You got up for your first day of work in your new town. You and your family had just moved to Oklahoma from California because you couldn't afford the costly life.

When you first went to get the application, the owner said; "Is this for your dad or brother?" When you told him that it was for you, he looked astonished. "Now sweetie, you know that you have to know what an engine is to work here." "Shoot, I know every damn thing about a car. Show me one that needs some fixing and I'll show ya." He lead you to a car and had you work on it. When he saw what you could do, he immediately accepted you. You hated how people would think that just because you were a girl, you couldn't understand how a car worked.

You put on a pair of jeans and your beat up converse. Over your tank top, you put on you light blue, button up shirt with a small red diamond that said, DX. You walked over by yourself to start your shift. As you walked into the garage, you noticed a tall, slim, attractive boy watching you. Shoot, hasn't anyone ever heard of a girl that likes cars? As you leaned in the car you felt the boy watching from behind. Even though you knew he was there, when he said; "You sure know what you're doing.", you got so startled, that you jumped and hit your head on the open hood. You started to blush out of embarrassment. You turned to face him, rubbing the top of your head. "It's just a simple oil change." He gave you a cute smile before introducing himself. "Well anyways, I'm Sodapop Curtis. I've worked here for a while, so if you need anything just come find me." "I'm Y/F/N. I just moved here from California." You told him. You then awkwardly went to turn back to the car, not knowing what else to say. "Hey before I go, I was wondering if maybe I could show you around town tonight?" You looked back up and nodded. "Ok. Meet me here at 5:00." You said. "But no funny business, okay? I just met you. Don't ruin things too fast." You joked with him. He laughed and walked away.
