SC2. Mistletoe Kisses

A/n

In this story, The kids will be about 16-18 years old.

Kazuko's POV

I shivered as I tried to scoot closer to the fireplace. My outfit consisted of a long sweater that went just past my knees,
It may look like it's not warm enough, but its warm enough to keep me from not freezing to death.

Rubbing my hands together, staring at the burning flames before me.
I felt a blanket being placed over me, warmth soon enveloping me in a soft hug.
I looked up, seeing my best friend Nagisa.

My face began to heat up, I never thought of Nagisa other than a friend. But his choice of act, reminded me of what couple do. Nagisa placed a mug of hot chocolate into my hands.

My eyes was drawn onto the whip cream on top of the warm liquid. (Oh god, this sounds perverted...)

I took a small sip, the chocolate tastes so good. I taste the sweetness of the chocolate and the cinnamon.
It made me smile.
I couldn't help but drink some more.

In the corner of my eye, I saw Nagisa smiling at my actions. But, it soon turned into a frown.
It made me question myself,

'Could he actually like me?...More than a friend?' I thought as I continued to drink my hot chocolate.

Nagisa's POV

I looked at Kazuko sadly, I wished to confess to her soon...
Daimon told me that I had a chance, he had a chance with Kotoko. I just don't know if it would work out with me.

I'm not like Daimon, being brave and wouldn't admit defeat. My head turned to stare at my cup of hot chocolate,
My face became filled with despair.

Kazuko, who noticed this, scooted closer to me, embracing me in a hug. This just made my heart skip a beat.
I rested my head upon her shoulder, quietly drinking my drink.

"Na-gi-sa~" She cooed, "What do you plan on doing today? Its Christmas and all.." She finished.
My eyes looked upon her's.

"Well, I wanted to spend my time..with my best friend today....my best friend.." I muttered the last part quietly, feeling sad. Kazuko's eyes softened, she pulled me into a tighter hug, trying to comfort me.

I felt Kazuko blew into my ear, which made me jolt up. She chuckled lightly at my reaction,

"Nagisa, you won't survive in this world if you react like that." She smirked. (A story quote reference, it's about Ouran HighSchool)

"Neh..Nagisa do you like anyone?" Kazuko asked. "Maybe you still like Monaka!" She softly hammered  her fist upon her open palm.
My face was flushed in red. She really didn't see that I liked her rather than Monaka.

I looked down, my bangs covering my eyes. I saw her tense up, feeling guilty. I sighed and explained to her,

"Kazuko, the one I love doesn't like me back..so.." I trailed off, feeling sadness rush to me.

"N-Nagisa..please don't be sad.." She muttered. I set down my mug onto the table.

"I'm..sorry for bring it up.." Kazuko apologized, looking down on the ground.
I leaned my head upon her shoulder, signaling that I accepted her apology.

"Do you like anyone Kazuko?" I asked, I saw her face being covered in red, her words are fill of shutters.

"Y-Y-Yes....." She responded, I felt my heart break a little, but continued listening to her,

"H-He m-mi-might n-not like....me back.." Kazuko muttered quietly, I could still hear those last words.
I felt bad for her, she feels the same, but I felt jealous to see that the girl I loved.

Liked someone else.

I began to open my mouth to respond back. I was about to confess to her, I'll confess to her before she gets stolen from me.

"K-Ka-Kazuko...I-I-..." I struggled to speak those words. I mentally slapped myself by my shuttering.
I heard something come down from the ceiling.

I looked above me, seeing a Mistletoe. I had a feeling that Daimon and Kotoko set this up. I couldn't control
My body, I leaned in, connecting Kazuko's lips with mines.

The warmth and taste that her lips had, it drives me insane.
I taste the hot chocolate that she drank earlier, it tasted a lot sweeter. I pulled away after a few minutes,

"I love you..Kazuko." I told her, finally relived that I let my feelings out. I felt her lips upon mines again,
I smiled, kissing her back. We both pulled away at the same time.

"I love you too Nagisa." Kazuko said before embracing me in a hug, burying her face into my neck.
My arms being wrapping around her waist, taking part of the hug.

I kissed her cheek softly, her face being pushed further into my neck.
The door opened to reveal Daimon and Kotoko, all dressed up.

"Oi love birds-! We're going to go see the Christmas Tree at the park!  Wanna come?!" Daimon shouted, holding Kotoko's hand. Kazuko and I both nodded.

I took Kazuko's hand and pulled her up, soon following Kotoko and Daimon to the park.
Looking back at Kazuko, smiling to her, which she returned back as well.

This had been the best Christmas I ever experienced....

'I love you Kazuko...'
