Chapter 13

Ace POV

"Have you been ignoring me?" I asked Loriana as I laid across her bed. I came over because it's winter break and I'm bored as shit at home.

"No. You're just always busy with your ghetto ass girlfriend or basketball or your hoes. You never have time for me anymore." She said. Now she's gonna make me feel bad.

"Damn, my bad. I'm gonna do better cause I know that's not how we were raised. So, what's been going on with you?" I asked. She sighed and laid down next to me.

"Nothing really. I'm off punishment and I've been acting like my old self. I've been spending a lot of time with my new brother and my new friend Rodney. He keeps my head on straight." She said.

"Yeah I know who Rodney is. He's a cool guy in my book. He's told me about how y'all hang out and shit. What happened to Hannah? I haven't seen her around lately." I said. She doesn't even come around us anymore in school.

"Ugh, she's just...ugh. She's been avoiding me ever since I left her at my dads club because in all honesty, she was being selfish as fuck and inconsiderate. I guess she's mad because I left without telling her but I can't be worried with that. She's been getting me in a lot of trouble lately and that's not cool." She said. I nodded, understanding where she's coming from.

We stopped talking for a bit and we relaxed and started watching a movie. I've missed times like this with my cousin when we just chill and enjoy each other's company. Me and Lori are close like siblings seeing as we are only a few months apart. I'm a little bit worried about her seeing as her 'best friend' is starting to be fake as fuck. I know how petty girls can be these days so I just don't want Hannah and Lori to actually get into some type of altercation cause then I'll have to step in and obviously, I'm gonna have my cousins back.

"Where's my baby Chris?" She asked, breaking the silence.

"I dropped him at his girlfriends house. Today's her birthday or whatever. They probably gonna be fucking." I said then shrugged.

"No, I can't believe he's really not a Virginia and he's sexually active. Like this is so crazy weird. How does my little cousin loose his virginity before me?" She asked then huffed like as if she's defeated.

"Shit, your ass better stay a virgin until you're in a serious relationship and you two mutually care about each other. I ain't about to have any type of bullshit when it comes to you and your purity and damn well no babies." I said, warning her.

I'm not about to tell her don't have sex until you're 40 because honestly, let's be real, she's gonna end up having sex when she wants to. I just feel like she should do it with someone who will give a shit. I wish I lost my virginity to a girl that I actually cared about. It would just mean more.

"Thanks for the advice but I would have to have a boyfriend before anything else. We both know how my dad be. He's fucking crazy." She said. I laughed, agreeing with her.

"Yeah he is. He be having this place looking like the White House or some shit with all this security. I almost beat one of their asses today when he tried to say I couldn't come inside like as if this isn't my second home. He's lucky Ricky came when he did." I said. This new guard was really wilding.

Her room door opened, making us both look over. We watched as Uncle Ty entered the room with a styrofoam cup in his hand.

"Wassup niggas?" He asked. He took a sip from his cup, putting his pinky up.

"Why are you so happy today?" Loriana asked.

"Because I'm sipping on my lean, I'm rocking my Gucci flip flops, I'm about to smoke a fat ass blunt with y'all pops, and my girl woke me up this morning with some good ass sex." He said then sipped from his cup again. I'm so done with this man I swear. I don't know how I've endured 18 years of his shit.
