Mario POV
I sat at my desk and played around with my wedding band, thinking. I've been doing this a lot whenever I get alone time. I feel like I'm at an age where I should have my life together. I'm 35 years old with 4 kids and a beautiful wife that I would die for. I'm a billionaire and have been successful in everything I've done. I got all of this but my life is still a mess.
More like my marriage is just a mess. I've been think lately if striving for a perfect marriage is worth all the heartbreak and shit. I'm a man of my word though and I stand by my vows I made to Jas. I just wish she would do the same.
When you think about it, our relationship been rocky ever since the jump and I always just push the shit she does to the side. She kisses X, I push to the side. She leaves me on my death bed, I push to the side. Keeps my daughter away from me for 4 years, I push to the side. Leaves me because I got Violet pregnant when we weren't even speaking, I push to the side. Breaks out engagement and goes to live with her ex, I push to the side. Fucks that same nigga and hides a miscarriage from me....I don't know if I can forgive her after that.
Jasmine got a fucked up and childish mindset when it comes to problems but when we're good, we're good. I love her with all my heart and I'll probably never be able to love another woman the same way I love her but I'm contemplating if love is enough.
"Mr. Ramirez, I'm just here to go over your trip to Spain. I scheduled your flight for Saturday morning at 9:00 am. I emailed your itinerary to you. You have meetings, a photo shoot, and some appearances to make. I also made sure to not over saturate your daily schedule so you'll have time to spend with your daughter like you asked. I made sure that your house in Spain is stocked and ready for you and a driver is set to pick y'all up from the airport." Tasha said as she read off of her laptop.
"Thank you for that." I told her with a friendly smile. "Oh yeah, I remember you telling me something about time off for a week." I said, remembering the email she sent me yesterday.
"Yeah, you know Rodney is going to college next month and I just wanted to take a week off to settle some things and get him ready. I understand that it'll be unpaid time off and I can definitely put in some overtime." She said.
"Don't worry about it. I'll pay you for the week. Your son seems to be a good influence on my daughter and I appreciate that. You're a hard working woman and you could use the time off. Enjoy your time with your son." I told her. She smiled and I could tell she was trying to hold in her excitement.
"Thank you so much Mr. Ramirez." She said then left my office.
I can tell that Rodney and Jasmine have a close relationship and I don't have a problem with that. I like Rodney, he's a good and smart kid. He just can't date my daughter.
...
"It's nice to have you guys all together for this session. I believe that a family that's open with each other is essential to staying connected. Mario and Jasmine, how have you been?" Dr. Banks asked.
"We've been good." Jasmine lied. I scoffed and rolled my eyes.
"Is that true?" Dr. Banks asked, looking my way.
"She said it so I guess it's true since she's always right in her eyes." I said. I'm really not trying to fight in front of Lori and Nasir but Jas is tempting me.
"What has been going on with you guys?" Lori asked, looking from me to her mother.
"Don't worry baby, you father is just being childish." Jasmine said.
"Coming from you, that don't mean nothing. Childish is second nature to you." I retorted.
"Ok, well obviously there's a lot of tension here." Dr. Banks pointed out the obvious.
