Rodney POV

"How are you going to take me out but not talk to me?" Loriana asked as we walked through the mall. I just want to have her around me.

"You want a pretzel?" I asked, not answering her question.

"No, I want to talk to you. We haven't spoken in a whole week." She said. I stroked my beard as I lead her to a bench. We both sat down and I rested my hand on her thigh.

"What is there to talk about?" I mumbled.

"Well you stormed out my room upset and plus, I heard your phone conversation. What plan do you have Rodney? Don't lie to me either." I side eyes her then chuckled.

I knew that someone was listening, I could feel it but I just pushed it aside so that I wouldn't make myself paranoid. I honestly don't know how to answer her question because I'm damn sure not gonna tell her the truth but I don't like lying to her.

"Don't worry about it. You should have been minding your business or cuddled up under Arizona." I said. She rolled her eyes and pushed my hand away from her.

"His name is Avery and he's a FRIEND!" She said. I shrugged, not really caring what she said.

"We were friends though right. Look at us now." I said.

"Yeah look at us, some confused ass teenagers. I don't know why you won't just come out and ask me to be your girlfriend and you still need to tell me about that phone conversation. I know you were talking about me  Rodney. Yo, you're really making me mad." She said then chuckled at the end. Crazy ass.

"I will do what I got to do when the time is right and it ain't right. I done already told you that you're mine and I'm yours, what the fuck else do you want? I'm going through way more shit that's more important than making you my girl right now even though you technically already are. The fuck you want, a party or trip to Hawaii? Also, what my phone conversation does NOT concern Loriana Ramirez. You can keep your ass mad over petty ass bullshit and I'm not about to be here for it." I said then stood up. She's really struck 10 mother fucking nerves in me.

"You're such an asshole. I really want to beat your ass." She mumbled.

"I'm an asshole now? Aight, cool. This asshole don't have to take your ass home. Call up your FRIEND." I said then started to walk away from her.

Lori is everything I want but she really be pissing me off and nobody can expect me to stay all happy go lucky and positive and loving all the fucking time if I'm irritated. She's asking questions she doesn't need to be asking and she's acting like some insecure little girl. It's like, if I don't get down on one knee and ask her to be my girl, I don't like her and I'm messing around with the next bitch. I don't get it and in tired of having the same conversation with her.

...

"Is there a reason why you're early?" Anthony asked once I entered his office.

"I had nothing else to do, might as well make money." I said then sat on the couch.

"Well you're doing pretty good with selling. I got a job for you though. I need you to find some information on a DeMarcus Freeman." He said, tossing a file in my lap.

"Who is that?" I asked, opening the file.

"He's the son of a guy that was killed my this organization. He kidnapped my mom, tried to kill my dad, his other son Xavier tried to kill Jasmine. Just a whole bunch of shit. But there has been some weird shit going on and I feel like he has something to do with it. I've seen him coming around on my corners and shit and if he's anything like his father, he's trying to start something." He said.
