"Let's go, let's go. You're going to be late for your own engagement party." I said as Mckenzie shuffled to grab her purse.
"Okay, come on, I'm done." She chuckled. We all headed out of her apartment and down to the car. Megan was driving and Mckenzie had shotgun. Arianna and I were in the back.
"Vicky and Candy said they'd meet us there." Arianna said getting into the car and carefully pulling her seatbelt over her body.
"Good." I followed her in and sat behind the passenger's seat. I tried hard not to wrinkle my dress. It was just a plain dark green dress that hugged my body. It had long sleeves and sat a couple of inches above my knee. I wore it with some gold heels and a pair of gold hoops, opting to keep it simple with my hair in a bun.
"This is so exciting." Arianna squeaked clapping her hands together excitedly.
"I know." I said. "I can't believe I'm actually going to my big brother's engagement party." I added.
Megan started the car and we pulled away from the curb and drove to the venue. We finally got there and you could almost smell the nerves from Mckenzie.
"Hey." I said touching her shoulder. "Take it easy, soon to be sister-in-law." I chuckled.
"Right, right." She breathed. "Okay, let's go." She said opening her door. We all stepped out of the car. We stood outside the venue.
"Okay, girls." Megan said putting her car keys in her purse. "Let's have ourselves an engagement party." She declared. We all walked in and the place was packed. It was a semi-formal event so a lot of the men in there wore ties with no jackets or jackets with no ties. All the girls were in cocktail dresses as per the invitation.
As soon as we walked in we were offered champagne from some cute waiter. I took a flute but before I could take a sip it was snatched from my hand.
"Not while I'm around." Connor sang softly. I glared at him. "Hey, Macbook." He said to Mckenzie. They did their cute coupley things and I scrunched up my nose. Megan had disappeared and Arianna said she needed the bathroom real quick. I spotted Mason chatting to some girls and I rolled my eyes. He already had game despite being back for less than a week.
I approached the group. As I drew nearer to them I heard one of the blonde girls ask.
"So, I hear you were in the military?" her voice was small unlike her store bought boobs. My upper lip twitched.
"Oh my god, Stacy?" I said to her. She looked confused. "Slutty Stacy Merin?"
"What?" she asked looking annoyed now. "That's not my name."
"Oh come on, I'd recognise your bottle blonde hair anywhere, Stacy." I chuckled lightly. The girl scoffed and walked away. Mason shook his head.
"Stacy Merin?" he asked. I shrugged and then smiled sweetly.
"Oh yeah, Stacy was never your type." I said.
"Oh and you know my type, now?" he asked with a smirk.
"I know that girl was like Stacy and you two were only together for 2 weeks and you were miserable." I stated shifting my weight from one leg to the other.
"How'd you know?" he questioned. I shrugged.
"Maybe cause during those two weeks you stayed over at our house pretty much every night cause you said Stacy always wanted to come over and you didn't feel like having to deal with her every night." I said simply.
"Wow..." Mason said. "Did you always eavesdrop on me and your brother?" he asked looking unimpressed. I gave him a sweet smile.
"Kylie." I heard Megan's voice. I turned to look at her and she had a smirk playing on her lips. "Aren't you going to introduce me to the best man?" she asked. I chuckled.
