I did a little twirl. Arianna and I were shopping for swimsuits for the summer that was quickly approaching.
"What do you think?" I asked Arianna who was adjusting a strap on her top.
"I like it." She said looking at the black bikini I was wearing. "Ooh." She chuckled. "I like that." She pointed at the thin line of glitter lining the top. My cell phone rang on the chair next to Arianna. She checked the caller ID for me. "It's your mom." she said.
"Ignore it." I muttered. She was about to protest. "Arianna." I warned. She sighed and then turned the phone over onto its screen. "Okay, so I'm taking it." I turned to the vanity mirror in the dressing room and examined myself. I adjusted the black bottoms.
"Kylie, it's fine, you look good." Arianna chuckled. I blushed.
"Okay, I was just making sure." I said flustered.
"Making sure you look good for all the beach hotties we'll see?" she teased. I rolled my eyes.
"Whatever." I scoffed. Arianna groaned. I glanced at her as she took out an aspirin from her purse and swallowed the small pill without water. "You are a walking hangover." I laughed.
"Ha ha ha." She replied sarcastically. Then she arched her back and winced. "I'm so stiff." She mumbled.
"Stiff? Like you danced too much 'stiff' or you got lucky last night 'stiff'?" I chuckled. Arianna flushed. My eyes widened.
"Who?" I asked. "Was it the cute bartender?" I asked. She shook her head. "Who?" I repeated. She looked away. "Who was it?"
"Ryman." I heard her mutter.
"What? Ryman?"
"Ryan!" she hissed. My mouth turned into the perfect 'o'.
"You slept with Ryan?" I asked with wide eyes. "Oh my gosh...how did that even happen?" I asked as I started changing back.
"Two words, body shots." She said simply. "They are the root of all evil." She muttered. "You would know." She added.
"What do you mean?" I shimmied into my jeans.
"Well you and Mason were pretty wasted when you left." She said. I stopped buttoning up my jeans to look at her.
"Yeah? Did you see us?" I asked cautiously.
"Yeah, you were both equally smashed so I'm trying to figure how you got home."
"Oh." I started. "We took a cab." I shrugged.
"His place or yours?" Arianna started redoing her hair.
"What?"
"His place or yours?" she repeated glancing up at me.
"He helped me get to my apartment and then he took the cab to his place." I said lowly.
"Wait, so you guys didn't hook up?" she asked furrowing her brows.
I swallowed. "What? No. Me and Mason?" I chuckled nervously. "Please don't joke like that." I added.
"I'm not joking, I'm just asking." Arianna chuckled. I kept quiet. "So you're telling me that you and the guy you've been crushing on since like forever, get wasted and don't end up in bed together. Wow... I won't judge if you did."
"Okay, well, I didn't, Arianna." I replied quickly. She raised an eyebrow.
"Are you sure?" she asked. I furrowed my brows.
"What do you mean am I sure?" I asked folding my arms over my chest. "Of course I'm sure. I'd know and I'd tell you if I did." I stated trying to keep the nervousness out of my voice.
