The One That Got Away

A/N: Just a random poem I wrote about a girl. Hope you like it! :)

I sat there wondering about her,
The one who was always there by my side.
With her I used to be out of darkness and fear,
But now nothing seems right.

I lost her when I was four,
I didn't even bid a goodbye before she went out of our home.

I couldn't understand what was going on,
I just sat there and was trying to figure it out.
I thought about the times she used to be gone,
But this time she won't come back even if I scream and shout.

Yes, she died on that ruthless night,
She had always been there but now she was out of my sight.

I wish I could get her back,
I could relive those four years of my life.
But then I opened my eyes and everything seemed black,
Because it was the real world which was as sharp as a knife.

It was all so easy in my dreams,
Because in there she was there standing next to me.

You maybe wondering who she was,
Well, she was and is an angel to me.
Without a trace of any flaw,
She was a mother nobody in the world could be.
