Chapter Thirteen:
Sandra was on her way to her Uncle's house that morning. Marco was busy at training, and she had decided to visit Uncle Silva and ask him about a few doubts she had about her work contracts.
She entered the huge mansion feeling peaceful, especially since her and Marco enjoyed such a wonderful night yesterday, experiencing the bliss of love making and heart warmth. Sandra let out a small smile at the memory of the night before.
"Uncle Silva?" She called out as she saw her Uncle in the kitchen, sitting near the table and reading a book.
He looked up, and a dead stare was flashed at her. "Sandra. I was expecting that you would be coming sooner or later. Take a seat." Uncle Silva replied in a flat tone, and motioned to the chair beside him.
Sandra, confused, obeyed her Uncle's orders and stayed silent.
"Do you have something to tell me?" He asked, in an accusing voice, the one that a parent would use on a child that did something they weren't supposed to.
Sandra frowned at his question. Did she have anything to say to him? "What do you want me to say?"
Uncle Silva sighed, and set his glasses away from his face and onto the kitchen table. "Sandra, I know there something going on with you and Reus."
Sandra's heart dropped. How did he find out about this? She was at a loss of words. "I-I"
"Don't. I don't need to hear any explanations." Silva raised his hand in motion for her to stop speaking. "I expect you know what the consequences are." He said solemnly.
Sandra nodded meekly. Tears were on the brims of her eyes, threatening to spill. The worst thing that could possibly happen between her and Marco came true, and she did not know how to react to this.
"You'll be given a week's notice. I think this will be a sufficient amount of time to book your flight back to Buenos Aires."
Sandra's eyes widened in shock. "What? Back to Argentina?" She asked in panic.
"You do know that you would no longer have a visa now that you're fired." Uncle Silva replied, looking at Sandra dead in the eye. He seemed to show no pity towards her whatsoever as she discovered that she would have to leave Dortmund.
"But what about college? What about Felix?!" Sandra cried out in worry. There were so many problems that had risen, and she suddenly started hating herself for what she got herself into.
"As compensation, I'll make an exception to pay for the boarding school fees that you could send Felix to, however the choice you made was yours and it affected your college education." Silva replied with a stern and strict voice. He was more than disappointed that his niece could ever think about associating with this German footballer, he thought she was better than this.
Sandra gulped at the thought of sending Felix away to boarding school, but shook her head off it.
"Uncle Silva please, have pity on me. I know what I did was beyond wrong, but you can't just leave me like this. Please. I'm a single mother, and I have no post-graduation degree. I can't just move to Argentina and expect everything to work out well for me. Please Uncle, I'm your niece." Sandra protested to her Uncle, pleading him with worried and torn out eyes.
Uncle Silva sighed, succumbing to Sandra's pleas. "Fine. A month's notice. But you will not be working for that Reus boy, you'll be my personal assistant for the month, and that's it."
Sandra muttered a 'thanks' under her breath and turned to bury her face in her hands. What have I done?
Her face emerged from her hands, as curiosity got the better of her. "Tell me one thing please, who told you?" Sandra asked, realizing that there was no way that her Uncle could've caught her and Marco together by himself. Someone must've mentioned something to him.
