Chapter Twelve:
Sandra woke up the next morning in her bed, not Marco's bed, but hers. They did not have heated sex last night, nor did Sandra dream of it; she was too tired and fell asleep as soon as she flopped onto her bed, dreaming of quantum magnetic equations and how to solve the kinetic molecular theory of them all.
She got out of her bed and went into the bathroom to brush her teeth and wash up. Looking in the mirror, Sandra studied her features hard, and wondered how a man like Marco could be in love with a girl like her.
Sandra had already realized that she wasn't as beautiful or charming or rich as Nina. The elephant in the room the whole night was why would Marco love me?
She walked out of her bedroom to smell the scent of bacon, her favorite. Like a moth to a flame, she floated over to the kitchen where she saw Marco by himself, in front of the stove with a frying pan in his hand.
Marco was wearing a white t-shirt and Puma sweatpants, in regards to his favorite sponsor and was humming as he tried to cook bacon.
Sandra cheekily snaked her arms around his waist and hugged him from behind. "Buenos Dias." She whispered into Marco's ear, making his whole body go numb.
Marco smiled and turned to face Sandra. He brought his face down to kiss her passionately, being his way of saying 'Buenos Dias'.
"How was your sleep, liebe?" Marco asked, going back to flipping the bacon and pancakes as Sandra sat on one of the kitchen stools.
"It was one of the best I've had in a long time." She smiled gleefully, thinking of how at peace she was last night. "And Marco, we better eat quickly because you've got training in another hour." Sandra said, her 'manager' qualities showing up again as she looked at the clock.
Marco chuckled at how cute she was being. "Don't worry, we'll make it in time." He said reassuringly as he plopped the bacon and pancakes onto two plates and pecked Sandra on the cheek.

They arrived at the Borussia Dortmund training ground late that morning, which caused a very irritated Thomas Tuchel.
"Marco, you missed warm ups." He said grumpily as he looked at the blonde midfielder. "Get to practice quickly before you miss more of it!"
Marco jogged onto the field as Sandra stood next to Tuchel awkwardly.
"So you're Marco's manager?" He asked Sandra sternly.
Sandra nodded in nervousness.
"Make sure he gets here on the dot next time." He ordered strictly, and walked away from her to continue on observing the training session.
Sandra gave out a breath as she felt the intimidation radiate off the man.
Having a few hours to spare, she decided to sit down on one of the benches near the grounds and bring her laptop out. It's been a while since she had checked up on her financing and she wanted to know how much she would have to pay for her student loans now that she had regularly added her wages to the bank.
Sandra hissed as she saw the number on the screen. "50,000 pounds? Are you fucking joking me?" She muttered under her breath.
Even with an academic scholarship, she still had thousands of pounds left to pay up for her college education. She wasn't even sure how long she would have to work as Marco's manager before she could earn enough money to go back to university in Munich.
"That's a lot of money." A voice said from behind her, making Sandra jolt up in her seat.
She turned back to see Pierre Aubameyang looking over her shoulders to the screen. "Pierre! You scared the shit out of me." She scolded, like she was looking at something she wasn't supposed to and someone had caught her off guard.
