A typical bet story is where a guy makes a bet with his friends about making that socially-awkward-person fall in love with him in span of one week or so, and then this girl starts thinking that they actually had something real. Yada yada she falls in love, she finds out about the bet, she gets her heart broken, and then the guy confesses that he lost his bet, because he fell in love with her in the process. Then BAM! There goes your happy ending.
