15 - Drunk & Take Me Home

I motioned quickly to her, pushing the drunken guys away from her with swift but quick blows. I have to struggle not to kick their asses, but I know I will be back and teach them a lesson. No one messes with my little Jenna.

I try to ignore Liam’s voice resounding in my head, telling me how much I care about her because I will deal with that later on. It is not important now.

So I shook those thoughts out of my head and continued shoving and pushing until I got to her. Then, I grabbed her from the legs and got her on my back. I heard her shriek in protest, but I did not care anymore. I dragged her outside of the house, followed by my best friend.

The music finally stopped being so loud –thank god. I got her down, fighting the urge to yell at her right away. She just stood there in front of me for a moment, glaring daggers at me. Liam was standing next to us and I could see he was quite shocked by the show, probably just like everyone else. I just stared at her, my breaths coming out uneven as I tried to control the rage and she screamed and started hitting me on the chest.

“What the hell are you doing!?” she said as she kept hitting me on the chest. Her face was red. That happens when she is angry. Woah! Why do all of a sudden I know that about her?

I shoved that thought into the depths of my mind and focused on something else. She was angry, and she was the one who was a pain in the ass. How dare she? “I told you not to come!”

“And who the hell are you to tell me what to do?”

“Don’t you realize you are getting along with the wrong crowds?”

“I was just having fun, you idiot!” she wailed with a sarcastic laugh as she nodded.

“You call that fun?”

She ignored my question. “I’m not a little girl!”

“You’re acting like one right now!”I countered.

“Look, just because you live with me doesn’t mean you have to protect me!”

“I do have to. You are my sister, after all.”

She growled. “Step sister. And I know what I’m doing!”

“Do you? You know that when you stand on a table and dance you attract men. That is asking them to take you to bed with them!” I pointed out with a frustrated sigh. “That is what you do when you dance on a table, you fool! But I bet your bitchy little friends did not tell you that, did they?”

She opened her mouth to say something but could not. I knew I was right, she never knows what she is doing and that is just so infuriating! She stayed there with her head down. Is she really this naïve? God! That made me angrier. They are so taking advantage of her.

“Please stop hanging out with those girls. I do care about you. You are not just a girl living with me, you are my family now,” I whispered as I took a step forward. All the rage was gone and I just wanted to make sure she was okay.

She raised her gaze, her eyes filled with tears. She approached to me and hugged me. This was the least I expected so I was unsure of what to do. I hugged her back after a while, Liam had an amused expression on but I just flipped him the bird. Then I focused back on her, she caught my attention because she smelled like alcohol and smoke.

“Did you smoke?”

“No.”

“Did you drink?”

“Maybe...”

I sighed frustrated. “Okay,” I said. Then I motioned to Liam, who was still there. He is such a good friend. I will have to make it up to him for this. Maybe I will let him win on Mortal Kombat one of these days.
