Runner Runner (Newt)

Minho

"Mary. Mary!" Vince repeated grabbing her limp body.

"NOOOO! MARY!" Vince screamed.

"Come on, Janson. Load them up, let's go. All these people. Get rid of them.
Let's go. Let's go!" Ava yelled.

"Sonya! Aris!" Harriet yelled.

"Get back! Now! Everyone stand back! Back! Everyone stand back!" Thomas pulled out the device we were going to use at the bridge.

"Hold your fire!" Janson let go of me as he ran for Thomas.

"Everyone stand back!" Thomas repeated.

"Stay back. Let them go." Thomas shouted holding up the device.

"Thomas, put it down." Janson stood in front of Ava.

"Let them all go!" Thomas yelled.

"You know I can't do that." Ava shouted.

"Thomas, please stop. I made a deal with them. They promised. They promised we'll be safe, all of us." Teresa stuttered.

"Okay. I'm suppose to trust you now?" Thomas stared at her.

"We cant trust anyone from WCKD." I gave Teresa a look. Everything that came out of her was a lie or something that had to do with WCKD.

"It's true. It was her only condition." Ava exclaimed.

"Shut up!" Thomas told her.

"Mommy!" Luna runs out of the truck charging at me. She wrapped her arms around.

"Luna you were suppose to stay." I pick her up and hold her tight.

"Everything can go back to the way it was." Ava tried to calm him down.

"Thomas. Do you really want all of them to die?" Ava said.

"Listen to her, Thomas. Think about what you're doing." Janson pressed on.

"Does he want us to die? Probably not. But if it's one thing that I know is I don't want to be WCKD property any longer. I'd rather die." I stated.

"We're with you, Thomas." Newt sighed. We gather around him.

"No." Teresa croaks.

Don't." Ava shook her head.

"Do it, Thomas. We are ready." Minho whispers.

"Go ahead Tommy. Please. " I beg him. So this is how it ends. I look up at Newt holding his hand.

"I love you." I whisper to him.

"I'm not going back there." Thomas shakes his head.

"I love you more." Newt kisses me.

"Thomas." Ava gasp.

"Love you Luna." Newt kissed her cheek.

"It's the only way." Thomas holds up the trigger.

"I love you mommy. I love you daddy." Newt and I look at each other. Mommy and daddy.

"Thomas!" Ava shouts.

As I close my eyes for my final breath. A truck horn goes off. We all looked towards where the sound was coming from and a truck went speeding into one of WCKD's helicopters. The helicopter fins go everywhere making all of us hit the ground. Covering Luna up so she wouldn't get hurt. As soon as I got up and they started pushing me forward.

"Run, get down!" Thomas yells as the device goes off. I push Luna on my back picking up a gun from a WCKD troop off the ground. We go with the rest of our group running. Minho picks up a gun and started shooting at all of WCKD.

"Get out of here! Go! Come on, Thomas. Get out of here, go!" Minho repeats as he fires his gun. I put Luna down next to fry.

"Hold her." I tell him. I turn around and shoot. Minho runs out of ammo when he tries to reload it one of WCKD shot him.

NO! MINHO!" I screamed shooting at them.

"Minho! Minho! Minho! Minho!" Our group calls for him. But WCKD drags him away.

"Thomas! No! Go! Come on!" Jorge grab Thomas and dragging this out of the battlefield. I didn't realize that he was around he must have been the person that was driving the truck.

WCKD was falling back to the giant helicopter as Vince was shooting down everybody with a machine gun. We were fighting but WCKD was retreating. This was our chance to fight but Jorge wouldn't let us. As soon as we got to safety and everyone was loaded into the WCKD helicopter. I could see Ava giving us the look. Teresa feeling sorry for us but is a betrayer.

"Min min." Luna cried. We watched Minho board the helicopter. Broke my heart. WCKD broke my family apart.
