Stonestar's Story

Chapter 4

        Stonepaw looked around as the cat's began to gather together. Featherpaw was, predictably, talking to apprentices from CrystalClan. Ferntail and some other mentors were having a conversation about something and Starclaw was talking with the leaders. Suddenly Stonepaw felt a chill run down her spine. SnowClan had just arrived and as Stonepaw turned her head a she-cat was starring at her. Stonepaw looked back terrified.
Did I do something wrong...? She thought nervously. She was snapped back into reality once she heard a voice call her name.
        "Hey! Stonepaw! Over here!" Featherpaw called after her. Stonepaw padded nervously over to him. Featherpaw smiled. "This is Robinpaw and this is Frogpaw." Featherpaw said introducing the CrystalClan apprentices. Robinpaw was staring at Featherpaw smiling. Frogpaw nodded at Stonepaw. It was quiet but Stonepaw could still feel the she-cats gaze following her. The cat padded closer to them. Robbinpaw yelped in surprise and dashed away.
        Frogpaw rolled his eyes. "I should probably go check on her." He said and padded away. Stonepaw's eyes grew wide as she felt the she-cat's presence. She turned around to see the cat towering over her with an almost dead like expression.
"C-can we help you?" Featherpaw stuttered. The cat nodded.
"May I know your name?" She asked Stonepaw. Stonepaw nodded.
"I-I'm Stonepaw." She said. The cat nodded and padded away. Stonepaw breathed a sigh of relief.
        Do you know her? A voice echoed inside her mind.
       N-no...who are you? She asked. The voice didn't answer. H-Hello? Stonepaw called. No answer.
"Sonepaw...Stonepaw? Stonepaw!" Featherpaw called for her. Stonepaw looked up. "The Gathering is about to start." He said. Stonepaw nodded and padded into the crowd. As the Leaders started to speak all Stonepaw saw was darkness.
"Hello?" Stonepaw called. A tom appeared in front of her grinning. He started walking away. Stonepaw followed. "Who are you?" She asked.
"I'm one of your ancestors...I am Stormheart." The tom said.
"W-why are you here?" Stonepaw asked. Stormheart chuckled and vanished. "W-wait! Don't leave!" She pleaded. She was pulled back into reality once she heard a call.
"Stonepaw. Come on!" Featherpaw called from the entrance of the great oaks. Stonepaw looked around at the departing cats. She raced over to her clan. "Are you okay? You barely talked during the Gathering." Featherpaw said as the clan padded through the forest towards their camp. Stonepaw nodded.
"I'm just... Thinking..." She said looking around nervously. S-Stormheart? Are you still there? She asked.
Yes. Is there something you need? Stormheart asked.
Um...do you know who that she-cat was? She asked. Stormheart chuckled.
In due time...you'll find out. I must go now. Train well until I return. Stormheart ordered. Stonepaw nodded.
"Stonepaw!" A voice called. Stonepaw jumped. She looked up to find herself staring at Fawnstar. "Are you alright?" Fawnstar asked. Stonepaw nodded nervously. "Well...alright." Fawnstar said and padded into the camp. Stonepaw nodded and followed. She walked into the apprentice den and fell asleep.
