Chapter 9

"Thanks Mrs Perez" I said while she handed me the overnight bag,

"Chica call me Selena" I giggled and said

"Gracias Selena" she smiled and replied

"De nada (your welcome) YN" I walked back upstairs but Jacob stayed downstairs, I went back to his room and went to his bathroom, toke a quick shower and got ready for dinner. I walked back downstairs and Jacob and Selena turned around

"Wow! Chica you scrub up nice, you look really pretty" gasped Selena I smiled and said thank you and she left the hallway and went into what I thought was a dining room,I looked back at Jacob,

"Wow te ves absolutamente hermosa, como siempre (Wow you look absolutely beautiful, as always)" and he started twirling me around,

"Gracias (thank you)" I replied

"De nada bonita (you're welcome beautiful) " I giggled and he kissed me on the cheek, he told me to go into the dining room and that his dad was already there. I asked him where he was going and he said that he was going to get ready. He touched my chin lightly, kissed me on my forehead and went upstairs. I sighed happily and walked towards the direction Selena went in.

Here goes nothing. I found Selena sitting at a grand dinner table talking to a man who sat opposite her,

"Hola" I greeted politely, Selena stood up and introduced the man to me as Jonathan, the man stood up and faced me, he looked like an older version of Jacob except without the afro.

"Hey YN nice to meet you," I smiled my best smile and replied,

"Thank you Mr Perez and lovely to meet you too". A maid showed me to my seat which was next to Selena, but opposite an empty seat. We all sat down at the same time which I thought was funny and saw one of the maids giggle at that, I smiled at her and she smiled back.

"I think I know your mother, Maria isn't it?" He asked while he poured himself a glass of wine,

"Yeah, how do you know her?" I asked curiously. I was quite surprised that he knew my mom's name because my mom was known as 'Swift' in the vampire world because of how fast she was. Mr Perez continued to talk and told me that him and my mom were best friends since they were little. I sat there in amazement, mom has never mentioned him before.

"Hey dad" I looked up and Jacob was standing in the door way, looking so handsome in his navy suit and red slim tie woah don't you look hot!, I might just faint again

*Please don't you're too pretty for that*

I can't help it you look really hot He smiled and winked at me,

"Hey Jacob" his dad stood up and gave his son a hug,

"How are you?" he asked,

"I'm great, I was just talking to your girlfrie-" Jacobs dad began,

"Dad she's not my girlfriend" Jacob interrupted and looked down,

*I wish she was*  This made me smile,

"She's just my science and drama partner, she came over to study and stay over too" he said walking over to the seat opposite mine,

"Pity, she's really smart and pretty Jacob" his dad mumbled, Jacob sighed and mumbled back,

"I know". A man walked into the room,he looked like a butler. He pulled a trolley into the room with him that had 4 big silver plates on top,

"Dinner is served!" he bellowed, Jacob's dad nodded and the butler put everyone's plate in front of them and left the room. As we ate we talked too, I never knew how close my family was to Jacob's family. I found out that my mom's mom, my nana, was best friends with Jacob's dad's mom. We had finished dinner and had our drinks. Selena told me to have blood just in case I fainted again.
