Chapter 4

Jacob? He's gonna think I'm some sort of freak. I gotta get out of here

I stopped using my powers and instantly dropped to the floor. I then realized that I was floating in midair while I was being frozen. I stood up and Jacob was standing there face to face with me.

I started scratching my wrists and I saw my reflection on his sunglasses. I looked a hot mess. My hood was off my head so they all could see me properly. But the most important thing that caught my eyes, where my eyes! They had turned a bright and obvious purple with embarrassment.

We stood there staring at each other for about 5 seconds. 5 seconds too long for me! I freaked out and before he could say anything I ran away using my vampire speed as fast as I could.

"YN....YN!" Jacob shouted after me but I continued to run until I reach my house.

Thoughts kept on going though my head while I was running through the woods. Things like;

Why was he there?

How does he know those vampires, and werewolf too?

What if he tells everyone at school that I'm some sort of freak?

I wanted to cry but I stopped myself because I knew the YN yesterday wouldn't cry about something like this, even though it bothered me so much.

I managed to get home on time. I looked at my phone.

6:00 pm exactly phew. I used my keys to open the door. I looked around the house but couldn't find my mom and dad. I finally looked in the kitchen and found a note on the fridge:

" Buenas noches princesa (Good evening princess), dad and I have gone to see Mr Gordon, so when you come back from running, there is a packet of cold wild deer blood in the fridge and your meal is in the oven, don't forget to wash your fangs and I've invited your friends over because we might take a long time and we don't want you to be lonely

I walked upstairs to have a shower and got dressed in my pyjamas.

I suddenly heard a loud banging on my front door. My instinct was to turn werewolf on their asses. The banging got louder and louder. I looked into my mirror and my mind already knew that I wanted to be a werewolf. But I've never done this before.

I knew what to do because my trainer taught me step by step but I always thought I wasn't ready.

This could go terribly wrong....oh well. I closed my eyes and after a second opened them back again. I had changed into a werewolf.

Damn I look cute as a werewolf. The banging continued and I ran downstairs. I pulled open the door with my teeth and began to growl showing my teeth.

"Shit, when did YN get a dog?" yelled the one banging on the door.

I know that voice its Jay.

"Guys its me" They were kinda scared when they heard me talk. I mean wouldn't you if some wolf started talking? Before they ran for the hills Kayla started laughing,

"I know that voice, guys its YN" she said. I looked at Jay and he was already prepared to run away.

"Get inside you guys, I need to change back I'm so hungry" I growled and rolled over,

"Girl you're always hungry"

"I know" I looked down like a sad dog to see what their reaction would be like,

"Aww aren't you so cute" squealed Toya trying to touch me

"Dude..don't touch the fur" I growled looking at her with a straight face. They all laughed. We never take anything seriously. As they went upstairs to dump their bags into the my room. I managed to change back to normal. I was quite proud of myself for doing it all by myself without my trainer.

Gold sticker for YN! To be honest my trainer prepared me for things like this. He said that I was rare and a quick learner, things like this will come to me really quickly.

I walked into the kitchen and warmed up my meal and got my drink out of the fridge. I prepared some pizza for the guys. I walked back into the living room to find Jay and Kayla all cuddled up on my couch.

"Urm...hold up what the hell is going on?" I said scaring them, I made Jay jump and he rolled off the couch which made us girls giggle.

"YN why do you always scare me like that, plus whatcha mean whats going on, can't I hug my friend". I looked over at Kayla and Jay with a straight face as if to imply that they thought I was stupid. Kayla knew straight away that I was reading their minds and looked down waiting for me to exploded.

"Do you really think I'm THAT stupid?" I finally said after staring at them. " Ustedes saben que yo puedo leer la mente ¿no?" (You both know I can read minds right?)". I waited for a while for a response but received none, then realised that I was speaking in spanish. I continued talking anyway because I so upset.

"You've been dating since this afternoon right?"

"Yeah your right" they both said nervously looking around but sort of surprised that I wasn't shouting the house down in spanish,

"So why lie to me then?.....and I thought we were close...well..obviously not" I walked out of the living room and into the kitchen. I didn't even feel like eating anymore, so I just sucked on the wild deer blood instead.

As I did this I thought about what an eventful day I had today...the dream, Jacob, my eyes turning green, Jacob, what happened on the open field in the woods, Jacob, and now this.. my own best friends can't even talk to me.

I walked back into the living room and sat on the couch near the window, I looked out of the window and looked at my phone. Kayla walked toward me and sat on the floor near to the couch I was sitting on.

"YN, we are sorry, we would have told you at lunch but you weren't acting like yourself then we were going to tell after school but you wanted some time to yourself" explained Kayla. Jay walked over with a smirk on his face,

"You can't stay mad at this face forever" then he did some sort of weird face which made me laugh

"Whatever" I finally said pushing him playfully, he got back up and gave me a huge hug.

"I feel left out" said Kayla

"ME TOO!" yelled Toya, so they joined in the hug but while doing so squashing me onto the couch and Toya's hair was tickling my nose,

"Guys get off me" I squealed pushing them off me. We all laughed and the guys got back to where they originally sat.

"Have you got something to tell us YN?" said Toya "You didn't tell me why you ran out of drama class like that".

"You really want to know?" I asked, and they all nodded. I sighed and told them everything, from the dream to my eyes turning green and the weird event in the woods. The guys already knew I had a 6 year old crush on Jacob.

"He saw you using your powers?" asked Jay

"Yeah, I'm just worried because he'll tell everyone at school" I mumbled looking down at my pink slippers and fiddling with the bottom of my shorts,

"No he won't ..." Kayla said "he's not that type of person"

"You think?" I asked looking up with a slight smile. Kayla nodded, then there was a sudden silence.

"Ah well do you guys wanna watch a movie, we've talked till like 10pm?" Toya asked. We all agreed so we watched a movie, ate a lot and talked all night till 2am but we finally went to sleep.
