A/N: Mm... so it's just gonna be inspired by the same songs/videos by Panic! At The Disco, plus Emperor's New Clothes by them. So, yeah, that's all. :)
I am determined to kill Regina. She took my heart, shot me, then left. Jefferson sat beside me in the hospital bed, his one arm draped behind me and the other behind his head. "They won't let me have wine or soda. Just this boring old water." I could feel Jefferson shrug and lay his head on mine.
"You're fine, Bella, just quit being so angry." He groaned. I clenched my fists and leaned my head back. "Hey, relax. It's only until we get your heart back." Jefferson tried to make me feel better, but it didn't work. At least I didn't have those stupid IVs in my arms anymore.
The nurse walked in and smiled weakly, but it quickly faded. "Uh... um..." She choked on her own words and glanced at her clip board again. "Miss McCain, we seem to... uh... have a problem-"
Jefferson's grip tightened on me. "Misses... anyway, carry on." He said.
"The woman you said who has, or had, your heart- Regina- doesn't have it. As you requested, Sheriff Swan sent out a search warrant, but apparently, Regina has the power to cancel it. We-we can get a heart transplant, it'd take some time though to find a donor," The nurse said. "If you want to wait for one, that's perfectly fine." She finished.
I went to shake my head but Jefferson looked at me pleadingly. "She'll stay." My husband said. I slumped down and buried my face in the pillows.
"I really hate you right now." I grumbled. Jefferson kissed the top of my head. "Still hate you."
The second floor at the hospital is quite a boring floor. Why not jump out of it? I slipped out of my bed and pulled open the window. Jefferson slept soundly in the corner of the room in the arm chair and I grinned. I slipped out the window and stayed away from any windows, just in case I was caught. I didn't make it far before they sounded an alarm and it startled me. I fell into the bushes and ran. In the matter of minutes, I found myself at Madame Mayor Regina's house. I knocked on the door furiously. Regina opened the door. "What the heck do you want?" She asked.
"You know exactly why I'm here. Where is my heart?!" I yelled. Regina smirked. I grabbed her by her shirt collar and slammed her against the wall. "Give... me... my... heart." I growled.
Regina grabbed her phone and dialed a number as quick as that. I tightened my grip and she choked. "I have your missing patient- at my house, of course." She said, hung up, then grinned. "I already used it, Bellamy."
I bared my teeth. "You're sick. Completely sick." I let her go, but kicked her. "No matter how hard you try, I'm already broken. And honey, you can't break something that's already broken, can you?" I raised my fist to punch her and somebody pulled me back and covered my mouth. My instincts told me to bite whoever held me and run towards the kitchen window, so I did. I found a jewelry box looking thing on the counter, grabbed it, and ran.
My house stood in front of me and I busted through the door. I opened the box and my heart was beating inside of it. I grabbed it and plunged it inside my chest and leaned back into the couch. "Better."
I smashed the chest into a billion pieces and threw it into the fireplace. Someone knocked at the door as I gathered up the ashes and threw them into the toilet. "Go the heck away!" I yelled at the door. Whoever it was ignored my words and busted through the door.
"Bella, you could've been hurt! I thought you were dead!" Jefferson slammed the door and stomped in. "Regina even called the sheriff!" He stomped in and scooped me up in his arms.
I glared at him. "I found my heart," I mumbled. "And I'm not going back to that dang hospital." My fingers clasped around my top hat that must've sprouted legs and made its way back to my house.
"You have it..." He muttered. "Does-does it still work? We can go home, Bella, we can go home!" Jefferson picked me back up and kissed me. "Bellamy! We're going home!"
I smiled, but it quickly faded. "I-I don't know..." Jefferson looked at me, confusion in his eyes. I sighed. "It's too risky. I don't think the hat would work. Besides, what about Grace?"
He sat me back down and paced around the room, as if he was thinking. "I didn't think about it...what if we talked to her 'parents' about it. We're her birth parents for Pete's sake." I glared at Jefferson.
"Didn't Sheriff Swan break the Curse weeks ago? Doesn't that mean Grace would know who we are and want to come home?" I sighed. He stopped pacing and fell into my lap.
"You're brilliant." Was all I got out his sentence since most of it was muffled by a pillow he pulled over his face. I threw the pillow across the room and pulled the loose hairs away from his eyes.
Jefferson looked up at me. "But...she'll hate me...she'll hate us." He choked up, on the verge of crying.
"No she won't, Princess. Grace wouldn't ever hate you." I said, poking his nose and pushed him up and off of my lap. "Let's go."
Jefferson stood up and grabbed my wrists. "No, you have to go back to the hospital." He mumbled. I bit my lip. "Come on, Liberty."
I glared at him as he pulled me towards the old, black 1969 Chevy Impala I owned. "I hate you." I mumbled. This time I meant it.
He was hurt that I said that. He sat me down in the passengers seat and slammed the door. We drove to the hospital for what seemed like hours upon hours and I was put back in that horrid hospital bed. "You can't escape this time, Mrs. McCain," Dr. Whale said. Jefferson sat in a chair on the wall across from me with his arms crossed.
"I found my heart." I stated. "So I don't need to be here." Dr. Whale shrugged and then grabbed a stethoscope.
"Well, Mrs. McCain, we'll see about that." Whale said. I took a deep breath. His face was plastered with shock. I grinned at Jefferson, who rolled his eyes.
They released me from the hospital, but there were very specific orders given: Don't let me out of Jefferson's sight.
