Janet huffed in frustration as she paced back and forth in the lobby. She had been waiting for someone to tell her something for five freaking hours. She was about to lose it.

Milano just sat there with his head in his hands. He couldn't lose one of his closest friends. He grew up with Toni, and it would take a toll on him if he lost her.

Gil then came in.

"Jay come sit down. You're making everyone in the waiting area nervous," he whispered making her look around.

All eyes were on her.

Janet nodded her head and sat down. She moved her left leg up and down. She was scared. She was scared that she was going to lose Toni.

We are going to make it out of this alive.

We are going to make it out of this alive.

We are going to make it out of this alive.

We are going to make it out of this alive.

We are going to make it out of this alive.

That was the sentence that she hoped to be 100% true. After another long awaited hour a fairly old African man in light green scrubs and a white jacket walked in with a clipboard.

"Family of Toni Braxton." he called out.

Janet stood quickly with Gil and Milano behind her.

"How is she," Janet asked quickly.

"She's fine it didn't hit her spine or any important arteries and organs, but she did lose a lot of blood. She's stable, few stitches here and there. She is also on pain medication so,she should be fine," Dr. Suraka replied.

They all sighed in relief.

"When can we see her," Milano questioned,
"You can see her now, but I think one at a time will be best."

Janet nodded turning to the two.

"Janet you go first. You were about to tear this place apart."

Janet smiled a faintly then followed Dr. Suraka to Toni's room. Once there he opened the door for her letting her walk in then closed it giving her some privacy.

Janet walked closer to the hospital bed seeing Toni hooked up to machines, and her torso wrapped. Her eyes were closed as she slept peacefully. Janet touched her face as tears streamed down her cheeks.

Toni then began to stir hearing Janet's sniffles.

"Janet stop crying please," she said in a raspy voice.

Janet smiled wiping away the tears.

"You scared me Toni," Janet said quietly sitting in the seat next to the bed.

"I'm sorry and what are you doing? Come lay up here by me," Toni said patting the space next to her.

"What if I hurt your shoulder," Janet asked standing.

"I can't feel my back right now." She responded scooting over a bit.

Janet hesitated, but eventually got into the hospital bed with Toni laying her head on Toni's shoulder.

"These beds are so damn uncomfortable," Janet hissed turning sideways putting her arm around Toni's waist.

"It's comfortable now that you're laying here,"
Toni smiled.

Janet giggled, "I forgot how corny you use to be."

"You use to love it," Toni teased.

"I still do." Everything fell silent.

"Janet," Toni said.

"Hm," Janet answered looking up.

"I love you," she said breathlessly.

"I love you too," Janet replied sealing it with a kiss.

That spark. There it was.

That spark that Janet had been truly missing for a very long time. Toni bit Janet's bottom lip deepening the kiss. Toni heart was bursting with joy right now. She thought she'd never get Janet back.

She pulled away from Janet grinning from ear to ear.

"Let's get married. After your tour."

Janet's breath hitched in her throat.

Married?

Do I really want to marry Toni?

Am I ready for marriage?

She looked into Toni's eyes. They held so much love and compassion in them. Even after being separated for ten years they still had love for each other.

"Okay. After the tour."
