"What if Lacey told everyone about my wrist. What if the school find out. If they see it. I'll get sent away. I'm so dumb. I should've killed myself so long ago. Holy shit. Worthless piece of shit." So many negative thoughts swirled inside my head, I just got up. Got dressed, brushed my teeth and left. I put no thought into what I was wearing. My hair went into a bun with a headband. When I got to school I was early. As always. I went into the office to say hi to the secretary Ms. Daniels. Right before I walked out of the office, Mr.Williams my
Principal, stepped out of his office. Behind him was Connor, he looked a year or so older than me,but he was super tall. I'd assume 6 something. He looked me right in the eyes. And smiled. I was honestly confused, he seemed like someone who would go after Lacey. Most of the guys in this school don't even know my name. But, the way he looked at me. It gave me chills. Connor walked out past me. I went to all of my classes with ease. No word of Lacey saying anything about my wrist. I hadn't seen Connor until 4th period, French, which I also had with Lacey. Connor was introduced to the class. And was told to choose a seat. He sat next to me. I looked down at my notebook. With the beginning of my essay for English in it. And back up at him. We locked eyes. He had such beautiful blue eyes. They
remind me of crystals. They were flawless, he was flawless. His dark brown hair made his eyes light up. He wore a black beanie, a red t-shirt mostly hidden by a black hoodie, and jeans. I think he may have noticed I was staring at him because he stuck his hand out to shake mine. " I'm Connor. It's nice to meet you" we shook hands. " Natalia, you can call me Talia though. And, it's a pleasure to meet you too." We had a free period so we sat and talked and wrote and drew. He was so sweet. He looked like one of perfect guys straight off of tv. But, he was so down to earth. I was so confused. When the bell rang we realized we had fifth and sixth period together so we walked together. In both classes we talked, and got to know each other. He took my mind off of Lacey saying things about my cuts. Until, lunch. He insisted I came to lunch and sat with him, Trevor, and Lacey. So, I did. Lacey smiled at me. She gestured me to walk with her. " I'm not going to tell anyone, Talia. I'm a bitch, but, not that much of a bitch." I hugged her as tight as I could. "Thank you. Thank you so much, Lacey. You really aren't bad. I just didn't give you chance and I'm sorry." She responded back to my hug. "Of course. I hope that soon, we can be friends. Tonight, do you want to come over. So we can talk and I can give you a little girl time?" I nodded and we walked back to the guys. Connor nudged me and smiled. The rest of lunch was great. I was having such a good time. I finally didn't feel like the outcast. The bell rung and I hugged Connor goodbye. He told me to find him at the end of the day. The rest of the day went by so fast. Connor met me at my locker with Lacey and Trevor. He put his number and my phone and I out mine in his. He said he would call or text me. Me and Lacey walked out to her car. We talked about people and giggled. We listened to stupid boy bands and danced. When we finally got to Lacey's house I was in awe of how huge her house was. We walked to Lacey's room. And sat down. " Natalia, what is it? What you do to yourself? Why do you do it? I just don't understand..." " get comfortable and well have story time." I giggled. " I'm serious!" She snapped. " okay!" I huffed. I wasn't sure where to begin.
