Out Of The Shadows

Chapter 6

All of a sudden I feel really woozy. Then pain detonates in my head.
I realize that I am on the ground.

Then I see Griffin standing over me.

I guess the thing that I said was, "wasappenin" instead od of what's happening. Because Griffin gives me a strange look.

"Are you okay?" He looks at me alarmingly.

"Yeah." I get up and look around. He seems to not really believe mr, but let's it pass.

"Its very life like", I say.

"Yeah."

"So, the um the government official said our task would be somewhere close to were we have "landed"."

I stand up. Then wobble and sit back down. "Hey lets rest here for a little bit, you hit your head pretty hard.

"No, no I'm fine." I smile at him reassuringly.

He nods. "You probably won't feel it when we get back to reality."

We find our task in a tree stump about twelve feet away from where we were. The task is to find a patch of some flower called sunflowers and pick one.

(There is a map.)

We follow the map for about two hours.

"I am so bored."

He laughs. "Is my ispy game bugging you?"

"Yes."

"Fine", he pretends to be hurt. "I think we're almost there."

Then I see it yellow flowers all turning in the same way.

I've seen pictures of nature. But I didn't think that I would have this many questions, and I definitely didn't think that it would be this beautiful.

Griffin starts running down the hill to the patch.

I laugh and follow him. He stops at the bottom but I keep going and run into it. After a second I hear him coming after me.

Then I trip. Talk about a M
mood killer.

"Oh my gosh, are you okay?" Griffin asks as comes up to me.

I smile inside. He offers his hand, but instead of letting him help me up I pull him down so he laying next to me.

We lay like that for awhile.

It was actually perfect.
