Yssa's POV

I heard a loud click at the door followed by footsteps.

Cesar entered the room and unchained my feet and Maria's.

He knelt down and looked straight into my eyes.

"I-I'm sorry Yssa, princess Althea. Please forgive me."

"Cesar..." I trailed off, I'm lost for words.

"I'm sorry Yssa. I really am. You're a beautiful person, you've been so kind to me and what did I do in return, I kidnapped you. I'm really sorry." Cesar cried. It's my first time seeing a guy cry.

I hugged him.

"It's okay Cesar. I know you have a reason for doing that. I forgive you. And besides, you're my little brother remember?"

"Thank you princess. I'm really sor-" I cut him off.

"Stop saying sorry Cesar. It's okay." I smiled at him.

Maria cleared her throat.

"Are we escaping?" she asked while smiling at the both of us.

"Oh, I almost forgot. We need to go. The king agreed to free both of you. He surrendered. But we need to hurry up, we need to stop your father's army and schoolmates from attacking the palace." he said way too quickly.

Wow. They really want to save me but... Oh gosh!

"What? Why didn't you say it earlier? Let's hurry up!" I panicked.

Then we both supported Maria as we approached the stairs.

---

"Stop!" I shouted.

"Althea!" my father called.

"The princess!" the knights called.

"Yssa!" Shaun, Nathan, Marco and Justine called.

"The shy girl!" my schoolmates called.

I know it's not the perfect time to laugh but I really can't help it.

"Uhh, why are you laughing?" Cesar whispered in my ear.

"Oh, sorry!" I straightened up but I'm still smiling like an idiot.

"Hey, stay away from Yssa." Marco shouted.

"No, it's okay. He's my friend." I defended Cesar.

"But he's a traitor!" Nathan said.

"He helped us Nathan." Maria appeared in front of us.

"Maria!" Nathan ran to hug her.

"I'm glad you're okay." he said.

"Thank you Nate, and your father set us free."

"What?" all of them said in unison including my father.

"King Damon surrendered... father." I ran to him and hugged him.

"I miss you and I'm sorry for running away." I manage to say between my sobs.

"No dear, we should be the one to apologize. We're sorry for controlling your life Althea. But we only want to protect you."

"I understand." I wiped my tears and smiled.

That burden inside me suddenly faded away and it's really a wonderful feeling.

"Marcus." a voice called from the distance.

We all turned to the direction of the voice and saw King Damon.

"I'm sorry for everything Marcus. I did all of this because I envy you. I'm sorry. And I'm willing to accept any punishment that you'll give me." the king knelt down in front of my father.

My father offered his hand to him and he accepted it.

"And there's something important that I need to tell you." the king looked at Cesar for a moment.

"What is it Damon?" my father asked.

"Your son...he's alive."

"H-he's alive? My son is alive?"

King Damon nodded.

I-I have a brother?
