"Lord, here Dakota comes." I hear Savannah mumble softly under her breath as I see a tall boy with gauges, who was playing with his tongue ring, walking our way. Man this can not be good.
We had just gotten dressed out for gym and surprisingly, they didn't make us exercise at all. I remember they made us exercise so much in middle school, it sucked. Here, they just give the guys some basket balls to 'ball' with. In all honesty, they all suck at playing basketball. They miss almost every time. I had been talking to Savannah and Will for just a bit. They both seemed so laid back and were really fun to talk to, and easy to get along with kind of people. I still didn't tell them anything about me yet. I wasn't planning on it because I still didn't want to open myself up to anyone.
"Whats your name cutie?" Dakota smirks, speaking to me as his eyes slowly scan down my body and I roll my eyes before meeting his. This wasn't the first time I had been hit on today, and I guarantee you that it won't be the last. All of the dudes here were fuckboys and I paid them no attention whatsoever. They weren't worth my time. There wasn't a guy here who caught my- waaaait.
I completely ignore Dakota as he waits for an answer from me. I lean against Savannah's shoulder to get a better look at the mess of a boy that I saw from across the gym. He had fluffy brown hair, the type that you want to run your fingers through, and play with until you fall asleep. And those eyes. Those eyes sparkled blue, they reminded me of my mother's. I needed to get a better look at him, I needed to know him.
"Uhm excuse m-" Dakota begins to speak to me once again but I quickly hush him, making him cross his arms across his broad chest. He was getting pissed off at me because I wouldn't talk to him but I didn't really care that much. He seemed like an cocky, arrogant asshole who was full of himself and I wasn't the least bit interested in someone like that. He needed to realize that and move on.
Savannah laughs at me as completely blow Dakota off. I see him turn away and walk off out of the corner of my eye. Whatever. "Who's that?" I ask Savannah, pointing over to the beautiful boy with the blue eyes. He was almost too cute to handle with his messy hair and perfect smile. I was practically in a daze, staring at him. Thank god he didn't notice me because then I'd look like a total creep.
She follows my gaze slowly, pointing the boy out, "Who him?" She asks me and I nod furiously. I just wanted to know his name, if nothing else. "That's Collin," She pauses, looking over at me and smiling. "He's a senior on the soccer team." She tells me with a smile. Collin. What a cute- He just looked at me. It was only for a second but he saw me looking at him. My eyes widen and I quickly look away. What am I even doing? I'm not supposed to fall for anyone. I need to get this under control.
I look up to see that he is already gone, like he disappeared. I wasn't just imagining it... Was I? No, because Savannah knew who I was talking about. "You okay?" She asks, now looking concerned and I nod slowly. I just can't wait to get back home.
