It was after school and I was so nervous going to Bella's dads office that day. I didn't know what was waiting for me in his office whether it was the box or a letter or anything. It scared me so much I thought of the day my parents died. I don't know what I would have done but whatever it was that was waiting for me, I had hoped that it was something to look forward to.
I was in my last class of the day. I was looking at my watch eager to leave the classroom already. When the bell rang I jumped off my seat and ran out heading to my locker. I stuffed all the things I needed from my locker I zipped my backpack and ran out the door.
As soon as I was in front of the school I saw Bella waiting for me.
"Hey Lost boy." She said, giving me a kiss.
It was weird how she called me "Lost Boy" I didn't think much of it, however, it was an odd but cool nickname.
"Hey Bella." I said.
"I'll come to your Soccer practice today, first just let me drop off some pictures for the yearbook club." She said, holding up a file full of pictures.
"I'm not having practice today. I'm really sorry Bella but I've got to go." I said walking around her.
"Where you going?" She said.
"I'll tell you later I promise. I'll be at your house at eight o'clock." I said.
"Okay." She said.
I drove all the way to Bella's dad's office, I didn't know what to expect from this. All I could think about is my parents especially my dad. I've heard so many great things about him over the years. I'd just wish I had the chance to meet him.
I walked into the tall building and ran into the elevator. I was finally directed to Mr.Ward's office. It was so big and had a great view of London.
I always wondered if my dad would ever have passed me down his company. I wish it still did, but they had lost all the funds to the company and went bankrupt. I was left with the last of their things they had put in the Will.
I stood by the window touching the glass, thinking if it wasn't there I'd fall twenty feet down or even more.
I turned around as soon as I heard the door open.
"Hello Jasper." He said.
"Hello Mr.Ward. How are you?" I asked.
"Wonderful have a seat." He said, sitting down at his desk.
I kept fiddling with my fingers under the desk. I only did it when I was nervous.
"Now look Jasper it's not much, but I hope it's what your looking for." He said.
"I'm sure whatever it was that they left me was very important to give to you." I said.
He handed me a suitcase, but it wasn't any ordinary suitcase. This suitcase was made out of some type of material that they don't make anymore, for suitcases.
The whole suitcase was covered in a map like design. It had a brown leather handle and copper latches to close it. I also had a four letter password. I lost all hope when I saw it, I would never get to see what's in this case.
I thanked Mr.Ward for everything and I left straight home. I wouldn't stop thinking about what ever was so important in this box. I wanted to open it and, I needed to open it now.
I came home and saw Bella sitting down at the front steps of my house. She didn't look happy, so I looked at my watch.
"I'm such an idiot I promise that I..... I'm terribly sorry Bella." I said, feeling like a jerk.
"It's okay Jasper that's not why I'm here." She said.
"Bella what's wrong? Did something happen?" I said, rushing over to her.
"You didn't tell me you went to go see my father and you lied to me." She said, standing up.
"Bella I'm really sorry. I wanted to tell you but I didn't know how." I said.
"I better go now. My father will be worried about me. See you later Jasper." She said, as she walked away.
"Bella please. Bella, Bella, Bella. I'm sorry." I said, screaming after her but she didn't turn around.
On the step was a small flower. The one's you blow on and it makes a wish for you. I held in my hand because I didn't know what to say.
Bella was mad and sad. I didn't know what to do, she wouldn't answer my calls or my text messages. I was empty without her she was this big bright light in my life, and suddenly it was ripped away leaving me in complete darkness.
I looked at that box and wondered if I believed really hard that it would bring Bella back and my parents.
