I don't know which sucks more, I thought with a groan, the pain in my throat from not being able to feed or the pain in my body which only gets worse the longer I'm down here.

It had been raining the night before and I was currently laying in a pool of cold water which had accumulated whilst I was being held in the room I refer to as the pit of pain.

It had been days and yet I hadn't seen anymore but the strange wolf in the cell, the Warden and a man I didn't want to set eyes on again unless it was to rip his head clean off his shoulders.

My hands shook and I squeezed my eyes tight. I just need a little someone to munch on, to ease the ache, I told myself as I then ran my tongue over my teeth gently.

What I would do for a meal...

Kill them all, the monster inside whispered, sharpening his claws whilst gazing at me with those black, soul-less eyes. Make them pay for what they've done, you know you want to.

Crawling to the far end of the cell I was being kept in, I began to pull at the bricks that were decaying and turning to rubble. My hands shook and I didn't want to look at the wounds on my arms; silver and red against pale flesh.

It made me sick to my stomach let alone to think about how I came to have those horrid marks.

The wolf was right, I was in Hell.

Chains rattling brought me from my thoughts and I clawed at the wall, desperate for an ounce of hope. My fingers were bloodied and raw with my attempts to get free and yet they were useless.

Fuck.

Growling in frustration, I yanked at the chains around my ankles and felt them cut into my skin. "Why!" I snarled, "I fucking hate you, I hate all humans!"

My cries rung out and echoed till the place was silence once more. I just need something to eat... Growling, I slumped back onto the floor and welcomed the ice cold water sinking into my skin.

"Hey, kid," the wolf croaked from the other side of the wall after a long moment of silence. "Someone's coming."

Ignoring his comment, I stayed where I was, curled up in a puddle of rain water, hidden by the shadows.

Heavy, even foot steps sounded against the floor and I flinched on instinct, the warden now being associated with pain. Kill him, the monster inside of me purred, making my fists clench as I stayed huddled out of sight.

I held my breath when I saw his shadow flit past the crack from under the door and then it stopped altogether when he then turned back on his heels and proceed to unlock my cell with a deafening click.

Light flooded into the room and I hissed, shielding myself. Before I had a chance to protest, I was then being yanked forward by the chains, my bare back scraping against the stones beneath me. "No, not me! Please!"

My cries were ignored and instead, I got a kick to the ribs instead. Hearing a crack as pain shot through me, I stilled and tried to stop the tears from spilling.

"You never learn." He spat before dragging me out of the cell by my hair and down the hall, skin snagging on rocks and opening fresh wounds. "Pathetic creature."

Dread filled me as the warden got me down the hall and into that room once again. My throat burned at the scent of blood and my stomach rolled when images of the last time I was in there flitted through my mind. Scalpels, pliers, lighters... Pain, untainted, unbearable pain.
