"I really hope this trip to Target will end in some Starbucks," Mitch stated bitterly as he and Kirstie walked side-by-side into Target.
"Why are you so salty today? It's almost Christmas," Kirstie replied.
Mitch slid on his sunglasses, despite being indoors, "All of the crazies go to Target last minute before Christmas," he pointed out.
"That's why I brought you, Mitchell," Kirstie teased before grabbing a cart.
"Wow you're sooo funny," Mitch replied, before smirking as Kirstie rolled her eyes.
"If you're a good boy Mommy will get you your Starbucks, ok Mitchy?" Kirstie teased in baby-voice," before laughing at his look of disdain.
"I hate you," Mitch murmured. He pulled out his phone and scrolled through Twitter as he followed Kirstie down the aisles while she gathered some last minute stuff.
"Have I ever mentioned how funny Pentaholics are?" Mitch questioned as they walked.
Kirstie chuckled, "You're right," she agreed before glancing at him. "Hey, wanna get off of your phone for one second of your life and help me?"
Mitch sighed dramatically before looking over Kirstie's shoulder at her list. "And how do you expect me to know where all of these things are?" He quizzed.
"You're so difficult. I knew I should've brought Scott with me," Kirstie retorted playfully.
"I'm insulted," Mitch commented.
"Do you guys need any help finding anything?" An employee questioned.
Mitch and Kirstie both looked up in unison. It was a stunning young man.
Mitch instantly tuned Kirstie out as she explained to the man what she was looking for. He swallowed nervously, and tried not to make it too obvious that he was staring at this man like a lunatic.
Mitch mentally scolded himself. He saw cute boys nearly every day, but apparently being at this close of proximity rendered him braindead.
His eyes darted down to his nametag.
Zach.
Ugh.
As soon as Zach glanced up in Mitch's direction, Mitch turned towards the aisle and grabbed the plastic red cup, and examined it as if it were the most interesting thing in the world.
"If you two come with me I can show you," Zach offered.
Mitch's head turned back quickly, locking eyes with him momentarily. He flashed him a brief smile, making Mitch want to burst into flames...in the best way possible.
Mitch remained silent and followed behind Kirstie, staring at the floor as they walked. He mentally scolded himself, yet again. He was never like this in front of cute guys. Usually he was upfront and confident. But now, he was having a hard time remembering the English language.
"Thanks," Kirstie stated once Zach showed them to the designated area.
"No problem. If you need anything else, I'll be around," he assured them, before shooting Mitch a subtle wink.
Mitch smiled and watched Zach walk away. He stared at him dreamily, even after he was out of sight.
"You alive there, Michelle?" Kirstie asked in a teasing manner.
"Hm?" Mitch blurted out, turning towards her.
Kirstie smirked at him, "Go get his number," she ordered.
Mitch eye's widened in horror as he shook his head.
The blonde scoffed, "What is wrong with you? You never miss a chance to hook up with a hot guy," she reminded him.
Mitch groaned, "I know. I don't know what's wrong with me. It's the eyes. I've always had a thing for blue eyes," he reminded her.
Kirstie smirked, "Oh, I know."
Mitch glared at her, "I was 15 and stupid. Don't talk about it," he snapped at her.
She laughed in response, "Go. Talk. To. Him," she demanded.
Mitch glanced down the aisle as Zach came into view again, reorganizing the movie section.
"I don't think I can," Mitch whispered worriedly.
"Santa handed you a hot guy on a silver platter for Christmas. A hot guy that was checking you out. The Mitch Grassi I know wouldn't turn that down. The Mitch I know would march on over there and be his adorable, sassy, over-the-top self and get that guy's number," Kirstie pep-talked him.
Mitch shook his head, "That Mitch hasn't had his coffee yet today, so he's still dead," he retorted.
Kirstie rolled her eyes in a dramatic fashion. "You have faced thousands of screaming fans at once. Screaming fans with grabby hands. I think you're capable of facing a cute guy," Kirstie insisted.
Mitch sighed in defeat before looking back at Zach. He nodded. "You're right," he declared.
"I know I'm right. Now, go get yourself a date," Kirstie demanded.
She leaned against her cart as she watched Mitch walk away, and awkwardly approach the cute employee. She couldn't hear them, but she smiled proudly when they seemed to easily fall into a conversation, both of them smiling excitedly.
She couldn't help but chuckle.
Kirstie: 1
Mitch: Probably a lot more than 1, but she won this one.
A/N: Ok I liked this one tbh. It's almost Christmas everybody SCREAM. Comment? Stay fcute. Ily.
