Mitch looked up from his laptop as Alex knocked on his doorframe. "Hey," he greeted.
Alex approached before sitting on the end of his bed, "I just got off the phone with Scott. His flight was cancelled. He won't be able to come back until tomorrow," he informed him.
Mitch rolled his eyes, "I told him to get the earlier flight with me, but did he listen? Of course not," he muttered.
Alex chuckled, "Looks like we'll just have to have our GNO without him," he suggested with a shrug.
"Cuz it's a girl's night! It's all right! Without you!" They both belted out in unison before laughing.
"As fun as that sounds, you and I both know that Scott's the life of the party. We should stay in," Mitch offered.
Alex shrugged, "Alright. Movie night?" He offered.
"If by 'movie night' you mean 'wine night' then yes," Mitch replied before climbing off of his bed.
They headed down to the kitchen, and casually talked about their Christmases while they chose the wine and prepared snacks.
Soon, they were laid out on the couch, contemplating movies to watch. Movie contemplation turned into random conversations.
The more they drank, the farther they got from picking a movie. But that was okay with them.
"Have we ever hung out...just the two of us?" Alex questioned before sipping the rest of his wine of...he wasn't sure which glass he was on, they weren't really keeping track.
Mitch narrowed his eyes, pondering it for a few moments. Come to think of it, they'd only ever hung out in groups. And whenever Scott was gone, Mitch usually was too.
"I don't think we have," Mitch noted before nodding.
"Wanna hear a secret?" Alex murmured, staring at his glass.
Mitch gasped excitedly, "I love secrets."
Alex giggled at his excitement, "I used to be so intimidated by you. But not for the reasons you'd think," he informed him.
Mitch furrowed his eyebrows at him, "What do you mean?"
"Well, I mean all of your fans assume that I'm worried about you and Scott hooking up, which is completely stupid to think...that's not why I'm intimidated by you," Alex explained.
"Why then?" Mitch interrogated.
Alex shrugged, "I don't know. You're scary," he informed him in a childish tone.
Mitch couldn't help but chuckle, "I'm scary?"
"I feel like you could verbally scalp someone without any trouble. And I don't know about you, but I like having my hair. So, I was just always afraid to say anything dumb in front of you," Alex continued.
Mitch laughed again, "I mean, Scott says dumb stuff all of the time, and he still has some pretty nice hair," he pointed out.
"But he has seniority," Alex reminded him.
Mitch shrugged, "Here, I promise if I ever drag you, I won't scalp you too hard," he promised.
Alex smiled, "Thank you."
"Thank you, too," Mitch blurted out.
Alex sat up slightly and gave him a confused look, "Why are you thanking me?"
"For making my friend happy," Mitch stated simply.
Alex smiled before refilling his glass. "The main thing we have in common. We both love the noodle."
Mitch snorted, "In more ways than one," he pointed out suggestively.
Alex gaped at him, "You freak," he teased.
Mitch chuckled before refilling his glass as well.
"Thank you," Alex blurted out.
"For?" Mitch replied, arching an eyebrow at him.
"For making my boyfriend happy," he stated with a smile. "And for dragging him when he says something dumb," he added cheekily.
They both shared a laugh.
"Can we watch The W—?"
"No," Mitch cut him instantly, shooting him a glare. "Scott may put up with watching that every night, but I'm not that nice," he informed him before grabbing the remote.
