We're here in California

My parents and I finally touch down in California. I couldn't wait to explore, meet all types of people, create awesome friendships and possibly meet a new beau. We were waiting for our ride to get here. My dad was muttering under his breath about his brother always coming to his rescue, which seem to me that he doesn't like it. Few minutes later, our ride was here, but what surprised me was the fact that our ride was a limo and not a rented car.

I mean my parents may have won the lottery, but I don't think this is their doing because, they seem surprised as me."I don't remember us ordering a limousine."

My mom looks at my dad, thinking he had something to do with it. He raises his hands in surrender."Don't look at me. I'm not stupid enough to get a limo, but I know who. Damn it! He never listens to me."

I was going to ask my dad who was he talking about, but my question was about to get answered. The driver opened the door to reveal my uncle Robert. I squealed and leaped in into his opened arms for a hug. Hearing my dad saying; "Oh brother. I knew he had something do with this."

My uncle ignores him. I haven't seen my uncle since I was about six or seven."Oh, my Sarahbelle. You've gotten bigger since the last time I've seen you." Dad then wanted to add his two cents."Of course she did. What did you expect to see? A six or seven-year-old Sarahbelle?" Mom nudged him in the stomach and smiles at uncle Robert.

"Honey, Be nice to your brother." He sighs."Do I have too?" My mom glares at him."I guess that answers my question."

We greeted uncle Robert and entered the limousine and we were off. Dad, on the other hand, was pouting and grumbling. I wondered why dad didn't want his brother to help out. He's lucky to have a sibling who would be at his beck and call. Dad didn't like the fact that his brother wanted to help us when we were struggling to make a living and he wanted to help, but dad didn't let him. Now that my parents won the lottery, they wanted to stretch their winning a little bit far, so dad gets to share the CEO position with Uncle Robert. Unlike dad, Uncle Robert won't deny that he needs all the help he can get. He always warned my dad that is okay to receive help. I wanted to push my dad's buttons a bit.

"Dad. Why can you be more like uncle Robert and ask for help?" Mom scoffed and dad glared at me."Your father asking for help is like, telling himself that he's invincible. He thinks it would bruise his ego if he asks for help."

"Sweetheart. You're not making the situation any better than it is right now. Anyways, I don't like to ask for help because I can do it and I don't like him always coming to my rescue for certain things."

"My goodness, Jason. You're my little brother. And if I didn't help with things, mom and dad would kill me for not helping their baby boy." I burst into laughter.

Dad growls at his brother and uncle Robert smirks back."You had to say that in front of my daughter." Uncle Robert raised his hands in surrender."Hey! at least she won't think any less of a man you are. She has to know about her father at some point. If mom didn't do it, then I will as your big brother." Dad sighs.

We finally made it home or should I say mansion. The limo stopped in front of the steps of the mansion. The driver stops the limo, gets out and opens the door for us. As soon as we are all out, uncle Robert tells us that were are to stay here and I'm registered to a public school nearby. My dad was speechless. He starts walking towards the limo and stops to turn to say something to my dad."

Oh and Jason. You start work tomorrow." He turns back and entered into the limo and drives off. We entered the mansion a was amazed by how the insides looked. I ran up the stairs to find my room. When I did, I was so amazed to see the inside. The walls were a peach color and the furniture was fit for a princess and that's me. I know I always doubted myself on our I appeared, but I am going to change that. The popular won't know what hit them. I soon took a bath in my Jacuzzi and soon got ready for bed. My parents were still exploring the mansion, but I was ready for the next day to come because I was going shopping for a new wardrobe. I couldn't wait. I went to the mall on my own. My uncle let me borrow his credit card to buy me things. No matter how much I refused, he would just ignore me. A battle I knew I couldn't win. As I arrived at the mall, I went crazy. I went from Aeropostale to Victoria Secret. I tired of shopping so much. I went home and when to sleep. I start school tomorrow.
