Maxwell's POV

As I entered school, all eyes were on me. I heard whispers.

"He's a loser. Thinking he can pay people to be his friends." I turned and glared at that person. He notice I was looking and fear was within his sight. I walked up to his friend and him.

"If you have something to say about me. Say it in my face." He whimpered. I smirked.

"That's what I thought. Keep your mouth shut if you have something to say about me. Because, I'll bash your face in and you know I will." I walked away satisfied. I walked down the hallway to meet up with Jordan. As it turned out, that he was my real friend. Best friend to be exact. All of my "fake" friends, I kicked them off the football team. I recruited plenty of boys who wanted to play for real and not joke around. We all hanged out in a group. As, my "fake" friends watched with jealousy. Just because they were paid to be my friends and turned on me in front of anyone, doesn't mean they were going to stay on the football team. Fat chance. They probably regretted it. But, no dice. Not going to be on my team as long as I'm captain. They just thought they can embarrass me like that and get away with it, they have another thing coming. At lunch, I saw Sarahbelle sitting alone reading a book. I smiled. Sarahbelle loved reading books since we were little. I went up to her table and smiled.

"Hey Sarahbelle." She looked up and her cheeks had a tint of pink on them. Aww. My angel was blushing. How cute.

"Hey Maxwell." It was my turn to blush. She giggled. Her giggles were adorable.

"Can I sit here?"

"Sure. Would your friends mind?" I looked at my friends and they seemed occupied. I smiled.

"I don't think they mind at all." So, she and I talked about a lot we have in common. I even apologize to her. She accepted it and we hugged. But that was interrupted by someone clearing their throat. I turned to look at a pissed Dylan Williams. I guess he has jealousy issues. He reeked of liquor.

"Get your arms away from my girlfriend." I did just that.

"We weren't doing anything wrong. We just hugged. That was all."

"Well, go do that with another girl. Not my girlfriend of a year and a half." I looked at Sarahbelle and waved bye as I walked away. She waved back and was snuggling in the arms of her boyfriend. He kissed her forehead and whispered in her ear. She nodded. He help gather all her stuff and they left the cafeteria holding hands. I felt jealous stirred inside me. Looks like I have competitions. This will not be easy. But, watch out Dylan Williams. Sarahbelle is mines for the taking. She's mines. I'm going to tear you a new one.
