Chapter 20

Destiny sat in the car with Nicole as they rode to Fulton Head Start.

Destiny: Okay so Prince was a single father. He walked up to me one day and we began to chat. After a while, we just clicked. From that day on its been us as sort of a family. Besides the incident with that whore, we've been okay.

Okay, so maybe she stretched the truth a little bit. Don't judge

Nicole: Aww. But do you know the story behind his baby mama?

Destiny: Girl.

She gave her that crazy face. Nicole just laughed.

Nicole: That bad huh?

Destiny: Yess. From what he told me, she cheated on him, ran off, and came back and left Jacobie on his doorstep. He says he never saw her again.

Nicole: That's sad. I'd hunt the bitch down and choke slam  her.

They just burst out laughing.

Destiny: Let her show up and try something. I might just do that.

Nicole: Call me first. I want to help.

Destiny: Of course boo.

They laughed as Nicole pulled into the school's parking lot. Destiny got out and walked into the school's office to get Jacobie.

Destiny: Hi I'm here to pick up Jacobie Perez
The teacher continued her friendly smile.

Teacher: I'm sorry but her mom just picked her up 10 minutes ago.

Destiny: That can't be possible. I'm her mom.

Teacher: Well, did you or Jacobie's father allow anyone to come pick her up?

Destiny: No we did not.

The teacher took a deep breath as she became nervous.

Teacher: Well Miss, your daughter looked as if she knows her.

Destiny: Okay but Did you see her fucking name on the paperwork to release my damn child to her?

Teacher: No ma'am but there is no need to -

Destiny: No need to what! Curse? Yell? My fucking child was abducted. The school is supposed to have top notch security. You teachers are supposed to check paperwork. How the hell you let my daughter go with some stranger?

Teacher: Miss I'm sorry but-

Destiny: But nothing. I'm suing this whole damn school and I expect y'all to help me find my daughter.

Destiny stormed out and immediately called Prince.

Prince: Hey baby.

Destiny was nearly I'm tears.

Destiny: Baby, Jacobie's been kidnapped.

Prince was silent for a minute

Prince: WHAT IN THE HELL? HOW THE SCHOOL LET MY DAUGHTER GO WITH SOME FUCKING STRANGER? HOW DID JACOBIE EVEN GO? I TOLD HER NOT TO GO WITH STRANGERS.

Destiny: I'm going to the police right now if you want to come. We also need a lawyer cause baby I'm suing the fuck out Fulton Head Start.

Prince: I'm on my way babe. Love you.

Destiny: L-Love you too.

With that, Destiny ran to the car.

Nicole: Girl what's wrong? You look like you seen a ghost?

Destiny was beginning to hyperventilate.

Destiny: Just- Just- Take me - to the- police- department. And - Hurry.

Nicole put on her emergency lights and drove as fast as she can.

Nicole: baby you're hyperventilating. You need to take slow breaths. You're about to give yourself a heart attack.

Destiny nodded as she tried to slow down her breathing.

Nicole: There's some water in the cup holder. Drink some of that.

Destiny did as told and her breathing became slightly normal.

Nicole: So tell me, what happened?

Destiny was fighting tears.

Destiny: Jacobie's been kidnapped.
