Chapter 3

"Hey! Dad!" I smiled walking inside his restaurant.

"Hey honey, how's school?"

"Dad, how did you confess to mom?"

"Confess, why?"

"I- um, you know Claire, right! Well, she likes this guy at school, and she wants to know how to confess her feelings for him"

"Surely when confessing, isn't a sincere letter the best thing?"

"Letter?"

"Something like a love letter"

"Dad!" I stood up, and grabbed my bag, "see you at home!" I yelled

"Hey! Clean your room!"

Newt's POV

I went to my locker, rolled my combination and opened it. But something fell out, I kneeled down and took the paper.

Reader's POV

"Still no reply?" asked Maya, opening her locker.

"No"

"You wrote your number?"

"Yeah"

"What about your name?"

"Yeah"

"But I don't think he'll call me" I frowned

"You'll never know, there's always texting" she smiled, closing her locker

"Do you think he saw it?" asked Claire
"Oh, there he is" she pointed

"He's coming this way" squealed Maya

"What should I do??" I bit my lower lip

"Did he saw you? He might be here for you"

"Are you (Y/N)?" he walked up to me

I nodded

"Hey! Newt!" shouted Terresa, but he stared at me. He took out a paper from his pocket and handed it to me, making a crowd of people surround us.

"I wasn't expecting a reply" I smiled, taking the paper

"Thanks" I added

"S-should I read it now? Like, right here?"

He nodded

I bit my lip and opened it.

But as soon as I opened it, my smile faded, my mouth now hanging wide open. Then suddenly, Terresa grabbed it.

"Hey! That's not for you!" snapped Maya

"What is this? Wh- she wrote Newt a love letter!" she yelled

"You better stop! Give it back!" Maya said, trying to get the letter

"But what's this? Oh my! He fixed her grammar mistakes!" she laughed "it's not a love letter, it's an exam paper! Score's -D!"

"Truthfully, I don't call you, Newt, I call you, "The Spirit of the Forest" OH MY GOD! SHE CALLED HIM THE SPIRIT OF THE FOREST!" she read the letter, making the crowd laugh

"If you ask why-" she continued reading

"HEY! WHAT THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING?!" yelled Minho, grabbing the letter from her hands

"It's unfortunate this happened" Newt started, "but"

"But?" asked Claire

"But what?!" snapped Maya

"I absolutely hate stupid girls" he finished, leaving me embarrassed

"WHERE DO YOU THINK YOU'RE GOING?!" said Minho "Apologize" he pointed at me

But Newt just grinned, "You're smiling? Is this funny to you?" Minho grabbed Newt's shirt and shoved him in the nearest locker. "Are you deaf  or something? I told you to apologize!"

"What do I have to apologize for? For correcting her mistakes?"

"This little bastard" Minho snickered and punched him.

"Do you only see mistakes in here?" he held up the letter

"Yes" he smirked, Minho threw another punch, but he dodged it, took Minho's hand, and shoved it in Minho's back.

"WHATS GOING IN IN HERE?" yelled the principal, "YOU TWO, IN MY OFFICE, NOW!"
