Chapter 7: Dinner with the Gang...Literally
After our lunch-dinner we all lounged around the house. Blake's best friend Johnny came over; and let me tell you, Johnny is just as much of a prick as Blake is. Johnny has been here a whole five minutes and he's already hit on me twice and Ava four times. Johnny couldn't bring my mood down; no one could even if they tried. I am so excited for tomorrow; I haven't stopped talking about it. Ava said she would cover for me, telling my brother I would be sleeping over at her house. Which really isn't a total lie...I will be sleeping over just after dinner with Hayden. I smirked to myself at my genius.
I decided to walk outside, just to enjoy the cool summer breeze. Ava was fine, she was talking with Johnny. Turns out they both like the same kind of music, which is nice because a lot of people are judgmental about Ava's music. Hailey was chatting with the other adults in the kitchen, while Cody and Aaron were off doing stupid boy things together. I wasn't really sure were Blake went, but right now I don't really care. I was walking on the patio, smiling slightly at the cooler weather. In the middle of Blake's backyard there's a gazebo with bushes and flowers surround it making it secluded. I love it back there, it's always so peaceful and I can think clearly.
I walked up the steps of the structure, taking in all of it beauty. Behind the gazebo is a little fountain, with angels holding buckets. I walked over to the side of the gazebo that faces the fountain, with the peace I was feeling right now I decided to risk it and sing.
"Forever can never be long enough for me, to feel like I've had long enough with you. Forget the world now, we won't let them see. But there's one thing left to do. Now that the weights finally lifted, love has surely shifted my way. Marry me, today and every day. Marry me, if I ever get the nerve to say 'Hello' in the café, say you will. Mm-hmm. Say you will. Mm-hmm."
I started to get lost in the lyrics, Train is a genius their songs always make me smile and forget about problems. Marry Me especially, whenever I have a rough day, that's the first song I listen too. I was going to continue singing when I heard a giggle, then twigs snap. I listened intently picking out three different people standing near me. I turned around to come face to face with Ava, Blake and Johnny; all of them are smiling at me. 'This is making me nervous! Get us the hell out of here!' that lovely voice in my head always has great ideas. Ava bit her lip and stepped forward, she was trying to contain a smile.
"That was AMAZING Addy! Why the hell don't you sing all of the time?" Ava asked, I was clearly shocked that they heard me. I couldn't speak, I was so nervous. It's not that I'm afraid of people hearing me; it's just I only used to sing with my dad, it was special to us. Johnny and Blake were smirking at me, with their arms crossed over their chests, amusement clear in their eyes. I rolled my eyes, and shook my head. "That was awful what are you talking about...oh look the fires started that means it's time for s'mores." I said in one breath trying to get them to ignore that fact that I was singing. Of course I failed. "What are you talking about? That was incredible!" Johnny piped in, Blake and Ava nodding in agreement. "What will it take to make you guys forget what you just heard?" I asked clearly annoyed. They all looked at each other, when Ava had an idea. She whispered it to the guys who seemed to like the idea quite a lot. "We demand a private concert; we pick the songs you sing just for us three." Ava said matter-o-factly. I just nodded my head. "Deal." I held out my hand and shook Ava's, its official I have to sing for people...Yay...

After another hour of being with Blake's family we finally went home. Ava went to her house, saying she would see me tomorrow. I walked into my house, ready for tomorrow. I washed my face and changed into some comfy pajamas. As I laid down to sleep, I couldn't help but wonder if Hayden was thinking of me before he went to bed like I think of him. Just as I finished that thought my phone buzzed. I got up and checked it, when I saw the screen I couldn't help but smile.
