Shark Attack

We were on our little sailboat that we named after our love.
The ocean was a deep blue and the sun was setting on the horizon.
You pushed me overboard into the depths of the sea.
I felt the water putting pressure on my chest as I fell further into the blue abyss.
Opening my eyes allowed me the sight of your smile.
The salt burned but in a comforting kind of way.
Pain was rushing through my right side.
As I turned I saw I was being attacked by a beautiful creature.
But the physical pain of that shark ripping my body to shreds could not measure up to the emotional pain I felt when you abandoned me.
