We Found Love(A Connor Franta FanFiction)

Chapter 5

I texted Connor while we were walking to the Cafè.  

~hey 

-hola :) 

~um, not being rude but why'd you kiss me? 

-as a friend way :) 

~oh ok. I was worried. Not that I don't like you I just didn't wanna ruin our friendship. 

-oh, well it was a friend kiss, nothing more!  

~ok :)  

And with that we stopped texting.  

"So is that Connor guy your boyfriend?" Victoria asked 

"Nope" I said popping the 'P' 

"You should." 

"What?! I can't he's close to me now. As a friend, not a boyfriend." 

"Well I know it's gonna happen someday. So just be prepared." 

"Liar." I joked back to her 

"I'm serious. I'm in college to be a mind reader type thing." 

"Really?"  

"Yup! And I can tell you two are gonna start off as friends but in 4 more weeks he's going to ask you out" 

"Your lying" 

"No I'm not I swear! Just wait to see." She said as we opened the door to the Café. We walked to the counter I ordered a coffee with a cinnamon roll and Victoria got some tea with a fudge brownie. 

"$5.46 is your total" the lady said. 

I passed her the money and we got our orders. We took a seat by the window as we watched the wind blow outside. After 10 minutes we finished and we walked back to our campus. As we were walking up to go back inside of the "Freshmans Hall" I seen someone familiar.  

"Well hello Peyton!" He spoke 

"C'mon" I mumbled to Victoria dragging her along to the doors. 

It was Michael. My ex. How did he find out I went here? He's gonna ruin everything and he's probably going to chase me all year long. Atleast I have Connor to protect me like he said he would. I knew Connor would protect me. Connor is my lifesaver, my best friend, and the love of my life.

"Alright I'm gonna go down to Connors! I'll be back soon!" 

"Alrighty!" Victoria said heading back inside. 

As I ran down to Connors I tried opening his door but it was locked.  

I called him. 

P: Connor? 

C: yea? 

P: where are you? 

C: the gym  

P: alright I'm coming down  

C: ok. I'll be back up in a half hour though 

P: no this can't wait. 

And with that, I ended the call. I wen down to the basement of the school and went to the door that was labeled "Gym" I went inside to see about 3 other boys and 2 girls. I went over to Connor and told him we needed to talk. 

"What's wrong?" He asked confused. 

"I never really told you this but my ex boyfriend Michael told everyone that we ya know, had it after I broke up with him. And as I was walking back from the Café down the street! I seen him getting his keys for his dorm." I said as I went in to hug Connor. 

He didn't say anything. It was silent. Not an awkward silence though, it was a comfortable one. 

"If he touches you..." He said looking down at me, "...tell me and I'll handle him" 

All I could do was smile.  

"Thanks Connor."
