I looked down and sighed.

"You already know how I fell about this but you my bro and I'm glad to call you family, thank you for giving a niece or nephew" Cj said.

Right now I was sitting with Cj, Myron and Byron they felt they should give me the 'pree' talk before meeting up with Mr Carter.

"We wish you just got our fathers consent before this took role, you know he's still stuck on your past" Myron said.

"Yeah yeah but yall and dad should know Tech ain't the same since him and Mariah been messing about so there's no point in this lecture and there's no point of dad being pissed" Byron said.

I looked up at him and gave him a slight nod for helping backing e up.

"But Byron you know how dad is when it comes to his baby girls" Myron said.

"And Mariah is 21, she's grown enough to make decisions like this and who she fools around with so honestly I don't see the problem, dad and all of us trust Tech like he's a blood brother so what's the problem?"

"The problem like Myron said he didn't ask me for consent" Mr Carter said sitting down also.

I looked back down at my hands wishing I could just run away from this, but I'm doing it for Mariah.

"If you got my consent instead of running round and having sex with y daughter I wouldn't mind" He said.

"But, how? You still stung on his past?" Byron said.

"And how you figure that one out Byron?"

"Because, every time you saw Tech talking t Mariah you would tell them to move from one another, as if you didn't already know they were fooling around"

"I have my reason's that reason being she's only 21 and pregnant now"

"And she's a big woman dad, she makes her own decisions now" Byron said standing up.

Mr Carter looked away.

"Dad..." Cj said looking at him.

"I don't want her to be pregnant or fool around boys, she's still my baby girl"

"And that's something I will always be"

I looked up and saw Mariah walk in sand beside were Mr Carter was sitting.

"Dad you really being petty holding me back because you think I'm not your little girl no more, the little girl you should be keeping an eye on is Mo, I'm grown now I've been through all that boy drama, I've settled down now and weather you like it or not me and Tech are together"

I looked back down.

"Tech talk man" Byron said.

"I have nothing to say" I mumbled.

"See he not even taking this seriously, he hasn't even backed up why he wants to be with you or---"

Before he said anything else I got up and left. I couldn't take this shit any more, he's never going to be happy for us so there's no pointing standing up against him, he's my boss and nothing else.

I sat there watching the sky go to a nice pink colour.

"I'm happy you came" She said sitting beside me.
