I picked up the gun and tucked it in my waist band then sat down.

"So, you ready for your first day of work Dell?" Mo asked.

"Kinda nervous cah I ain't ever had to shoot no one before"

"Well these niggas fucking with the family and now yours so...we gottah get our revenge some how" She said shrugging .

I am nervous af, I've never had to kill any one before but now they fucking with family and business I guess I gottah do what I gottah do.

"Yall ready?" Kaiden and Jada asked.

"Yeah lets go" I said ready now.

We all left the trap and out to the van.

"You nervous?" Mo asked.

"Nah I'm kinda good now"

"Good cah we here now" Kaiden said pulling up next to a curb.

I suddenly became nervous again.

"Mo, it's a in and out, Gold don't I repeat don't get shot" Kaiden said.

I nod my head scared as shit. Me and Mo got out the car.

"Its a in and out, shoot anyone approaching you and find the money"

I nodded and pulled out my gun going round the back and through the window. My finger on the trigger.

Before they could say anything more I shot the mother fucker. I could hear gun shots guessing that they were coming from Mo's gun so I headed upstairs shooting these thots and niggas befoe finding a safe.

"What's the mother fucking password?" I yelled in ole boys face.

He had a grimey look on his face then it came to me .

"David?"

"The one and only, ain't little Cordell all grown up"

"Man fuck you, you stole from me and my family" I said cocking the gun back.

"Shoot me but I know you ain't got the guts bro we go waaay back" He said standing up.

"Just give me the fucking password and you may live" I said aiming the gun from his chest to his head.

I sighed.

"Never changed the number"

"Get out of here" I said aiming the gun at the window and shooting it.

He smirked then jumped out the window leaving me to collect the money and leave out.

"Got it?" Mo asked.

"Got it" I said handing her the bag of money.

We ran back to the van but of course my sister noticed something was up.

"What happened in there Dell?" She asked looking at me through the rear view.

"It...I saw David"

"You kill him?" She asked with a sincere look on her face.

"I let him go after he gave me the code" I said sighing.

"Bro...rule number one, no matter if they friends or family if they fuck with you and yours you kill em" She said sighing.

Kaiden swerved a bit guessing hes pissed I let one of our enemies go. I'm in shit. Once we reached back at the trap everyone was there and everyone watched me shaking their heads. They don't lie when they say news travels fast around the streets.

"The bosses want yall upstairs" Tech said.

We all headed upstairs I feel like I've let everyone down.

"What was you thinking letting him go off in the streets you knew he wan't ready James" I heard my mum say.

I walked in the room alongside Mo, Jada and Kaiden.

"I was ready" I said defending my self.

"You wasn't Cordell or you wouldn't have let someone get away"

"It was David" I said still trying to defend myself.

"Cordell the first motto in this work force is fuck friends and sometimes even family" Mrs Carter said.

I sighed knowing I have defiantly messed up.

"I don't think he's ready to be out with Moniah" My mum said.

I looked at Mo then sighed feeling to cry.

"He's ready" Mo said. "He's rolling with me, he's ready" Mo said defending me.

We watched as our parents looked at us then smiled.

"Fine, but another mess up and it will be on you Mo" Mr Carter said.

"Yeah yeah, Cordell lets go" She said.

I looked back and everyone had a sincere look on their face but I just followed behind Mo to some secret room. She locked the door and told me to sit.

"Who's David?" She asked sitting beside me.

I sighed.

"David and me go waaay back, we practically grew up together, no one could separate us he was my right hand, our left hand got killed in a drive by and he wanted revenge and joined some gang, I told him he's making a dumb choice with his life because he's a smart guy, He shot me in my chest but luckily I survived, I heard he got the revenge and became deeper in the street life and later in life we met up again and he stole from me and the fam so my dad forbidden us to talk again and seeing him today kind of struck a nerve which is why I let him go" I said with a blank expression on my face.

She caressed my cheek kissing it softly, she must have realised I was hurt. I looked at her and she continued to caress my cheek.

"Don't be upset, I've made the same mistake, but know your friends ain't friends if they can steal from you" She said.

I looked at her lips then her eyes and she did the same causing her to laugh.

"Kiss me Cordell" She said laughing.

I bit my lip then pulled her closer to me kissing her slowly, not trying to ruin the moment, before we managed to go any further her phone rang.
