Next Week

Slits 'Demonte' Phillips 

Its been a week since Mr Carter walked in on me and Moniah and since then its been awkward, I remember last week like it was yesterday.

*Flash Back*

"What the fuck is this?" Someone said causing us to jump back from each other.

"Oh...dad, ummm there was something on my face and uh Demonte helped me take it off" Mo said.

"With his lips?" Boss asked tilting his head at the both of us.

I jumped off the bed and fixed my attire.

"We need to talk" He said. "Meet me in my office"

"Yes sir" I said sighing.

I knew I was dead right about now. I took the elevator down stairs to his office and waited knowing he was talking to Moniah about what he just witnessed.

"What you doing in here?" Kaiden asked walking in.

"Better question son what you doing in here?" Boss asked walking in.

"Dad..uh Tech needed to talk to you about something on the niggas out for us" He said.

"Mhmm I will be up in a minute" He said dismissing Kaiden.

He nodded then got the elevator back up leaving just us alone.

"So..."

"Boss I'm sorry it wasn't suppose to happen the way yo saw it, it was a mistake it won't happen again just don't fire me or kill me" I said shutting my eyes tight.

I felt his arm over my shoulder causing my heart to race.

"Same thing Mo said" He said chuckling. "Demonte calm down, you not in any trouble, I know ya'll been friends for a hot while and caught an interest in each other, why do you think none of the others try to move to Mo? They know she yours and your hers, I give you permission to talk to my daughter on that level, I trust you" He said nodding. 

I looked at him confused as hell but nodded anyways. We both shook hands and shared a man hug then headed upstairs where all eyes were now on me.

"Demonte and Moniah sitting in a tree" Kaiden went.

I felt my body flush as everyone laughed. I looked over at Mo seeing her getting irritated.

"Stfu, ya'll irritating as hell childish mother fuckers, not like any of ya'll are innocent I got dirt on all of ya'll so try me" She yelled.

Everyone stopped laughing instantly causing me and pops to laugh.

ince that day everything between me and Mo has been awkward we don't talk or nothing like we used to and today is the day we all meet these new connects. 

"Yo slits you good?" Tech asked.

I looked at him blank faced but nodded anyways.

"Ya'll ready? The Connects will be here shortly" Boss man said.

Boss lady, Mariah and Moniah walked down stairs in their best dress. Fuck sake I couldn't keep my eyes off her. She was in a all black lacy open front dress with gold sandals with her hair tied up into a neat bun.

"Their here" Kaiden said moving from looking out the window.

We all went to the dinning room while pops, Cj and boss lady went to greet them by the door.

"You look good Mariah" Tech said causing us to laugh.

Tech and Mariah have this mad chemistry, but she denies it all the time.

"Whatever Lucas" She said swinging him the bird.

He chuckled then fixed his suit. We all stood as they came in with a family also.

"Oh what a huge family" The woman said.

We all shared a soft laugh. 

"Okay, Mr and Mrs Davis ya'll have met my oldest Cj and in order meet, Mickel, Maurice and Mariah the first set of twins, Kaiden, Myron and Byron the second set of twins, Moniah the youngest and this is Lucas and Demonte, their as much as this family as any one else, they've also been in the work the longest than any of the other workers and we trust them the most" Boss said pointing at each of us. 

We all waved and smiled taking a seat.

"And kids this is, Mr.James and Mrs. Charlene Davis, their children from oldest to youngest, Jada and Jordell, Sierra and Cordell" 

They waved and took a seat also. I noticed that that Cordell guy and Moniah were sharing looks. I felt Kaiden nudge me.

"Better claim ya girl before ole dude does" He whispered.

I shrugged trying to tell myself not to care.

"Well dinner is still being prepared so I will allow the kids to go off and mingle while we talk business" Boss said.

"That sounds like a plan" Mr Davis said.

We all stood up leaving the adults at the table and decided on going in the garden.

"Yo, I don't want no stranger all over my sister boy, better go get that" Cj said before walking off to Jada.

I sat by the pool watching everyone mingle while I sat there salty af watching Moniah blandly flirt with ole dude in front of me, I guess that kiss was just a kiss. 

Money 'Moniah' Carter 

"So you a dope dealer along with your father?" I asked Cordell.

"Uh nah, we connects we ships things from other countries to this one and give it to people like your father and get a share of how much is sold, the old people we were working with were skeeming and tried to take us down which is why your dad and my dad is trying to seal the deal seeing as their both smart working men" He said.

I nodded. He was really cute, but no one could be cuter than Demonte. I looked over and saw him with Kaiden by the pool , he looked kind of pissed so I decided against going over.

"How old are you?" I asked kind of curios.

"17, I know I'm a baby, you probley a big women" He chuckled lightly.

I laughed.

"Hell nah I'm 16, I'm the baby of the family" I said shyly.

He smirked.

"Aww baby girl" He teased.

Being called baby girl by someone other than Demonte was weird but some how felt right.

"Kids dinner" Mum shouted.

We all walked in except Demonte so I waited behind and went to speak to him.

"Monte what's wrong?" I asked.

"Don't worry about it" He said with complete attitude.

He walked pass me and into the house behind everyone else. I stormed in the house dramatically causing my brothers to look at me funny.

"The news?" Kaiden asked sitting down.

"Looks like we got new partners" Dad said.

We all clapped and shook hands with the Davis family.

"This calls for a celebration" I said smiling.
