The absence of warmth woke me up the next morning. Between the sleeping bag and the body heat from both Daryl and I, I had been very hot the night before. It wasn't a surprise to me that he wasn't there. However, it did make my heart sink a little to think that he was gone with someone else and not with me.

I got up and pulled on clean clothes and then exited the tent to find that all of the group, including Daryl, was sitting around the fire. I noticed that Jordan was sitting next to Andrea.

I walked over and grabbed some food, then went and sat in the only empty seat around the fire which was in between Jordan and Glenn.

"How are you feeling?" I asked Jordan quietly.

"Better," he said simply, and I nodded. He didn't want to talk and that was perfectly fine with me.

Rick stood up and cleared his throat, as if announcing something very important. Which he was. "Hershel has agreed to let us move into the house with him and the others for winter. It's getting cold out and we need to have someplace warm for shelter. There are a few extra rooms, but for the most part we will be in the living room," Rick informed us.

"Everything is okay then? We are staying?" I asked,

Rick nodded. "Hershel has agreed to let us stay on account that a few of us stay, erm, civil, around here, or they will be kicked out," he said with a sideways glance toward Shane. Of course Hershel would want Shane out.

"We need to get all of our things packed up so that everyone can move in this afternoon," Rick said. We all nodded and most everyone went to their tents to get packed.

I noticed that Jordan stayed seated, throwing glances at Andrea, who went off to her own tent.

"See something you like?" I teased.

"Nah. I just like her spirit, that's all," Jordan said, a light blush powdering his cheeks.

"I've gotta pack my stuff in Daryl's tent and then I'll help you take down your tent," I said.

"My tent?" Jordan asked.

"I'll most likely be staying with Daryl for a long time," I said. Jordan nodded, and I stood, patting him on the back and then making my way back to Daryl and his tent.

"I don't want to move into the house. I want to stay out here, away from the group," Daryl said quietly when he heard me unzip the tent flap.

"Why? You can sleep on the actual bed and get a good night sleep," I said with exasperation. Sometimes he was so stubborn.

"We're too close together as it is. I don't like it.  I feel like a sardine in a can," he said sullenly.

"I'm sure you'll manage," I dismissed.

I finished packing all of my things and then threw my bags out of the tent. Daryl followed closely behind and we stood outside the tent, surveying it. "You think you can take down the tent by yourself? I got to go help Jordan," I informed him. He grunted and I turned, figuring he was done talking.

I was surprised when he placed a hand on my arm and spun me around. "Don't," he said firmly, as if ordering me.

I tugged my hand from his arm and stormed out. I was not his bitch and I would not be ordered around like one.

Jordan was still sitting by the fire when I arrived. "Let's take that tent down, shall we?" I asked him.

He shook his head. "Andrea and I did it. Don't worry about it," he assured. I raised my eyebrows at him.

"You do realize how much older Andrea is, right?" I demanded. He blushed once more.

"Why would you even ask that, Rosaline? Of course I know she's older. And I know there's something between her and Shane. I mean, look at the way he looks at her," Jordan said sullenly.

"Excuse me?" I asked with confusion.

"Shane and Andrea keep exchanging looks like they have a dirty little secret. I'm guessing it's them doing the nasty late at night," Jordan explained.

"Whoa kay, I, erm,, I'm going to grab my bags. Find Dale and he will let you know everything you need to," I instructed him. He nodded and I went off, back to Daryl's tent.

The tent was almost all torn down. I grabbed my bags silently from behind him and yet he still knew I was there. He turned around and I saw his jaw tighten.

"What the hell are you mad at me for?" I demanded.

"I'm not mad at you," he admitted, turning back to the tent and finishing packing it.

"Then who the fuck are you mad at?"

He shook his head dismissively. "I wouldn't expect you to know," he said bitterly.

I sighed, leaving and taking my bags with me. I threw them beside the fire and then decided to take a walk, making sure I had a gun with me. I needed to be able to think. I needed some space for me.

Out far away from the group, I heard the crack of a twig behind me and spun around. Hands slipped over my mouth and my eyes widened as I took in Shane's tall, muscular figure. I fought against him but he pushed me against a tree, forcing all of his body weight on me.

"You scream and I'll take you out, you understand me?" he asked menacingly.

I nodded. He removed his hand from my mouth and I spit in his face. His face turned red with anger and he slapped me across the face.

"Watch it bitch, or it'll be worse next time," Shane warned.

He eyed me hungrily and then put his lips to my neck, kissing it softly. I fought to move but I couldn't force him off. He was just too big.

His lips moved to my shoulder and his hands came up under my shirt. I felt like I was going to vomit. No matter how hard I tried to fight him off, he would silence me or stop me with a blow.

I felt something digging into my back and remembered the gun. Slowly, I pulled it out from the back of my pants.

I put the gun to Shane's head and cocked it. His eyes widened and he took a step back. My skin crawled from the recent encounter and I really wanted a hot bath. But as the anger boiled inside me, I remembered what I had said to him about this type of situation. Touch me again and I will not hesitate putting a bullet in your head.

I surprised myself by pulling the trigger.

Hey guys! Sorry it's taken so long to update! College and Norman are taking over my life. :-)

I hope you guys like this chapter and I would like to give a shoutout to @StillNotGinger2. Sorry I haven't thrown in what I promised but I had already written most of it when you asked. (For those of you who haven't seen the comment, she just wants to know what the others in the group think of Rosaline and Daryl.)

So how do you like that Rosaline is the one that took Shane out? Lord knows I have been waiting for this day.
