"Are we there yet?" A very bored and exhausted guy sitting in the backseat muttered, tapping the car window leaning his forehead on it.
The sky was dark and rain started to drizzle. It was still 5 pm yet most of the lights in the city were already lit up.
"Don't worry, we're almost there" His mother said, taking a glance of him in the rareview mirror. Smiling to reassure him.
Jimin and his mother was moving to their new home in the city. His mother was promoted and she was transferred in another branch of the company that is in the city. She was also offered to bring her family with her. That's why Jimin is here, exhausted, anxious about his new start. He grew up in their town for his 17 years of existence, and here he is, trying to adopt a new environment. New house, new neighbors, new school, probably new friends, if he can make any.
Its just that, Jimin is not used to this moving and transferring schools. He's afraid that he might be lonely, especially when he get to school. He can't afford to walk alone on hallways, eating alone in a table on lunch time. You ask, why not make new friends? Initiate with them first? He's afraid that he will be ignored, because he's a new kid, who suddenly appears in the middle of the second semester. Who would want to be friends with a new kid when they got their own already?! Jimin might be over reacting, but he just can't help it. Jimin sighed, as he slumped on his seat, waiting. It's gonna be a long week of preparation.
"We're here Jiminnie. Wake up." Mrs. Park nudge Jimin's knees a bit to wake him. Jimin slowly opened his eyes. He didnt know he had fallen asleep. The rain had drifted already. His mom got out first and went to the back to get their things. "Better help me out honey. It's already 6, and we've still got alot to unpack." His mom said outside picking two boxes from their now uncovered pick-up. Jimin sighed for the nth time of the day. "Alright, I'm coming," he said as he got out of the car and picked two boxes as well. He stopped just a few steps away from the entrance of their new condominium. He looked at it for a while, staring at it thinking his life is going to change from this moment onwards. It gives a weird feeling inside of him.. He closed his eyes and heave a deep sigh, This is it, my life's gonna change.
--
"Last boxes and were done!!!" Jimin exclaimed as he spread his arms wide, accidentally hitting his mother's forehead. "Oh!" His mother exclaimed, rubbing his injured forehead. Jimin jerked his head back to see what he has done. He gasp as he saw his mom's face, pouting.
"If you're really exhausted you can tell me. You don't have to hit me, darling" his mother said laughing, hitting his arms playfully. "I'm sorry mom. I didn't do it on purpose" He said with a smile, hugging his mom to ease the pain. "It's just, for the whole day, I finally felt.... relieved?" He muffled a laugh. His mom gave him a squeeze and stepped back a bit to look at him. She gave him a genuine smile, "I'm sorry you have to get through this. I know it's not easy to adjust on a new environment, but I do hope you'll cope up very soon. It's for our own good anyway. But don't worry, for as long as we're together, everything will be alright, you understand?" She said, tapping her son's shoulders.
She and Jimin are very close, that sometimes they're going to be mistaken as siblings. Mrs. Park looks very young than her age. Maybe because she always smiles and laugh. Jimin got that side of her.
Jimin held her hands with a light squeeze, "I know. I know it'll be okay," he said. It came out like he was comforting himself than how it was supposed to be. He gave his mom a smile and finally pulled of from the hug. "Alright then, I'm going to get the last box. So that we can already eat that dinner you've been preparing" he said with a chuckle. Mrs. Park pinched his cheeks, finally letting go of him. "Okay, faster then" Jimin nodded and head out of their condo.
Just as he was about to turn to the corner where the stairs are, he bumped into someone causing the other to drop his things. "Oh my, I'm so sor-" Jimin wasn't able to finish when the guy let out a groan and clutch down to pick his things up "No worries" the other mumbled almost inaudibly, and quickly paced away from him and took a turn. Jimin was dumbfounded on what happen. He wasn't able to see the guys face, all he noticed was that the guy was wearing a what seems like a school uniform. Probably, a student from school. But it's already half passed 9. What was a student around this time doing? Well, it's none of his business anyway. So Jimin just shrugged it off and proceeded to get the last box so he can finally rest and eat the delicious meal his mother is preparing.

He's now standing in front of his new mirror in his new room.. He was staring at his appearance, feeling nervous and all... It was finally the day for him to go to his new school.. He's now wearing his new [I kept using new, noticed? XD] uniform.. Everything is new.
This is it. He was finally going out there and discover how he's going to start all over again. Jimin was fixing something in his attire even if there wasn't any to fix. Like, brushing his hair nth times. He was just so damn nervous that he thought he was about to explode..
He was caught back to his senses when his mother knock on his slightly ajar door, giving him her sweetest smile.. Jimin can't help but smile back. "Are you now ready?" His mother said with a hint of amusement of her voice, opening the door wider.
She knows how Jimin is when he's going to encounter something new or something unfamiliar to him. Thats why seeing him in that state won't make her wonder... "Y-yeah, I think I am." He walked towards the door to meet his mom.. "Good then. I see you've fix yourself a couple of time already." His mom teased him earning a pout on Jimin's face. They just laugh it off and decided to walked downstairs, so that they can finally go to the school..
