The one thing on my mind

I was still crying by the time we reached what the boys told me was Mr. Blackbourne's home, shared with Dr. Green. None of the boys blamed me, and I was still shaking too. In fact, Luke sat next to me and had his arm around my shoulder. We slowly filed out of the car and walked up the front door. Kota stood in front of me, Luke on my right, Gabe on my left, and Victor behind me in what appeared as a protective circle. The door opened and I heard Dr. Green's voice. "Come on in. Are any of you in need of immediate medical attention or at all?" He asked as we stepped inside. As the circle dissipated, the boys looked to me. Just to make sure, I closed my eyes and ruled my head on my shoulders. No head or neck pain, good. Next I moved my shoulders and flexed my elbows. No shoulder or arm pain, good. Next I swayed my hips a little and bent my knees. No pain in either of those besides soreness from sitting so long. Alex were fine. Fingers and toes were fine. I took a deep breath in to check my lungs, just to be sure. No pain. I was still crying a little and shaking a lot. I shake my head and mouth the word no. Dr. Green frowns slightly as he looks me over but nods and leads us to I'm guessing the living room. Mr. Blackbourne stands there, straight faced. Would he yell at me? I cower slightly into whoever's closest, which happens to be Kota. He takes me into a hug and I graciously take the opportunity to hide my face. Kota whispers to me. "Let's sit down, okay?" I nod and curl up on his lap. He doesn't seem to mind this and continues to run my back as I hear people shuffle about the room. I try to calm down while Kota shields me with my hugs. "Can you sit with Dr. Green for a minute please?" I shrug and am moved to the next person over. "Hey," he says softly. "You need anything?" I quickly think. Maybe if I could just get away from all this I could calm down, right? And I probably look like a mess right now. "Can I go to the bathroom?" He nods and walks me down a hallway to the bathroom. I say thank you and lock the door behind me. Staring in the mirror, I notice my hair is messy my eyes are red and do is my nose. Still shaking. Ugh, I hate when I do that. I try to finger comb my hair and calm down. It's not that big of a deal, right? They just choose some innocent weak girl to steal keys from. Probably. But when I think back to the scene, the threats, and how bad the consequences were, I start crying again and slide down to the floor. What if they come back and shoot us then? My shaking increases slightly as each new idea pops into my head. It would be all my fault. It already is. I hear a soft knock at the door. "Sweetie, are you okay?" "Fine." I sob. "I want you to open the door." Dr. Green replies softly. I don't move. I can't. I feel weighed down by guilt and heavy thoughts of pain. The door soon clicks open and I tuck my head in my knees. He relocks the door behind him and kneels next to me. "You're shaking really bad." He mumbles quietly. "What's wrong?" I don't respond, just stay tucked into my protective shell. "Sang, I want you to tell me what's wrong. I need you to. If I don't know what's wrong, I can't help." He pleads. I still don't budge. "Let me be there for you." That's what makes me cave. "It's all my fault." I tell him.

Sean's P.O.V.

She lifts her head to look at me and with tears says, "It's all my fault." I quickly shake my head no and out my arm around her, leaving in to whisper. "None of this is your fault. It was the crazy guys that attacked you who are responsible for this." She shakes her head no in refusal. "I gave up Victor's keys. They have his expensive car now. How selfish of me was that, huh?" I frown. "You did it in the moment to protect yourselves." "It only helped in the moment though. They're probably mad we tricked them. Now they'll come back and shoot us. And Victor doesn't have a car." I sigh. She's really hung up on Victor's car and I don't think she understands it was smart to do that and Victor doesn't care. "Sang, I want you to listen to me. Giving up his keys was smart. It protected you. That's all Victor really cares about, I know." She watches me silently, trying to figure out whether or not I was lying or if she believed me. "Okay." She says quietly. She leans her head against me and I hug her tighter. I've noticed her shaking has lessened and almost completely disappeared. "Can I ask Mr. Blackbourne a question?" She says quietly. I nod and help her stand back up.

Sang's P.O.V.

Sean gives a small nod and helps me stand up. I whisper a thank you and unlock the door. We walk back down the hallway to the living room. Their talking stops as I enter the room. My eyes shift from boy to boy, studying each of their faces. They give me soft smiles that I try my best to return. "I, um..." I start before looking down and straightening out my shirt. I raise my eyes to Mr. Blackbourne. "I wanted to ask a question." Mr. Blackbourne studies me for a moment or two before nodding. "I cannot promise an answer, but you may ask if you'd like." I hold his gaze and ask the one thing on my mind. "Am I in danger?"
