I looked up from James and saw Mason standing outside, suddenly James's lips were on mine. I shove him off of me and yell "What do you think you're doing?"

All he does is smirk at me and tries to kiss me again. I shove him one more time and he ends up hitting the wall behind him.

"Feisty. I like them that way." He says in a raspy voice.

"You told me that you had a plan to help me get Mason back." I spit at him.

"Well people lie. He stole my girl so now I'm stealing his." He replies slowing walking back over to me.

Mason's girl? What is he talking about? He starts to stroke my cheek and I shove his hand away, "Get away from me you creep."

Igrab my bag and run out of his house. Just as I am opening the door I hear James ask "I bet you didn't  know that your boyfriend is a murderer. Did you?"

I turn to look at him and I give him the meanest glare I can muster then I walk out of his house, slamming the door behind me.  I look around to see if Mason is still around the house somewhere but I don't see him. I don't have a ride back to my house I set out walking to my house. I am about halfway to my house when a car pulls up beside me and I look over into the drivers seat to see who it is. When I look over, my hands shaking, I see, to my relief, Mason sitting behind the wheel.

He doesn't make eye contact with my but instead says "get in the car" I open my mouth to say something but he cuts me off and says sternly "Get in the car, please" I take a deep breath and open to door to his black truck.

As I am still climbing in, Mason starts to drive off and I yell at him "Wait!" He apologizes under his breath and puts the car in park again. I finally climb in and put on my seatbelt, as we are about to start driving, Mason leans over to where I am sitting and stares at me in the eyes. My heart starts to race as his face gets closer to mine and I can't help but blush. He leans back a little bit, and sweeps the curls away from my eyes that fell forward as I was struggling to get in the car. His hands are cold against my skin and it send a shiver up my spine. I blush and look away from him and he pulls his hand away.

"Sorry" he apologizes.

He puts the car into gear and starts to drive away. We pass my house and i look back at it confused,

"That was my house" I tell him.

He looks at me with his blue eyes "I know. I wanna show you something"

He looks back at the road and I nod at him. The rest of the ride is silent, but not an awkward silence, more of a comfortable one. We drive for about ten minutes when Mason puts the car in park. We have stopped right in front of the railroad tracks.

He must have seen my confused expression because he says, "I always come here when I need to think. No one else no about this. Well except for you now, I guess."

He gets out of the car and walks over to the edge of the grass, I follow shortly after him and stand a few feet next to him. The view is incredible from up here, it looks down over the city and its especially beautiful at night with all of the lights shining from the city.

I let out a gasp and he looks over at me, "It's beautiful isn't it?" He asks with a laugh. I nod and he adds, "It's nothing compared to you, though"

My head snaps over to his but his eyes are fixed on looking out at the city. I didn't realize how late it was getting and I forgot to bring a coat so I stood there hugging myself and trying to keep warm. Mason slowly walks over to me and drapes his leather jacket over my shoulders.

I give him a smile and he says "We should probably head back. It's getting late and I don't want your parents to worry"

I nod my head and reply, "Thanks Mason. For everything"

He smiles at me and opens to door to his truck to let me in. I hop in and he gets in behind the wheel. We drive back without talking and the ride seems to go by too quick. We pull up in front of my house and I slide out of the seat. I pull of his jacket and try to hand it back to him but he shakes his head at me and says "Don't. You look better in it than I do" The heat creeps up my neck and I shut the car door before he can see it on my face. He drives off and that when I knew it.

I am falling for the playboy.
