Hey guys, I'm so happy that you are reading my book! I hope you stick with it!
CHAPTER 1
It has been at least a week since Professor Dumbledore took me to get my materials. I've been at Hogwarts learning how to do spells before the semester begins. Funny enough, I was a natural. Though, I'm trying to contain my second-hand power that seems to be a problem. Trying to control it and make it parts of my power work on command has put Professor Dumbldore and I in a Dead End.
"I am trying as hard as I can, Sky. I just don't understand how to make your power contain itself. Which is a tricky concept," Professor Dumbledore says while getting up. I stand up with him and I walk over to the window that outlooked the Forbidden Forest. The dark clouds circled and twisted, making the sky have different shades of black and gray. The tress whistled and the leaves clattered together. A continuous rhythm of the storm's song.
"Maybe I just need to listen to it," I inform Professor Dumbledore. He looks over with a grin on his face.
"Maybe your right, Sky. Maybe we should just, 'listen' to your powers," he insisted. I fix my black V neck and I walked over to the door. I grasp onto the knob and I pulled it open. I screamed as Professor Snape was standing there. A smirk appeared on my face.
"Well, look who's screams are faster than their reflexes," he says with an emotionless mask that seemed to be sewed to his pale skin. I chuckle.
"Oh really. We'll see about that!" I use my mind and I pushed him against the wall. I smirk and then I soon look away and he was let go. I heard him wince as he gasped for air.
"Next time you do that to me again, you will be in big trouble," he yells. It echoes in the dark and mysterious halls. I look over at him and I nearly laugh.
"The next time you would be dead," I say with a huge smile on my face. The corners of Snape's mouth surprisingly lifts up for a split second, until he slowly nods and walks off. I make a small grin and then I walk off to the Great Hall. I sit down by the fire and I look at the flames that made the woof crackled and snap. I felt, well, lonely a little. It was as if I was the only person in the world.
The split sound of lightning made me jump as I look out of the window and stared at the storm that was slowly coming in. Flashes of lightning appeared as its light began to engulf the room. Rain began to steadily patter onto the windows and make a slow melody. Almost like a record beginning to play on the record player. I heard footsteps and I look over and I see Snape and Professor Dumbledore watching my every move. I do a half-hearted smile and then I began to poke the fire with a stick. Snape came slowly by me and Professor Dumbledore did the same. I could feel Snape being a little bit uneasy. As if he was hiding something.
"Tell me the truth. Why am I here," I snapped. I look up at Snape and he looked like he got slapped in the face. He sighs and then looks at Professor Dumbledore. Professor Dumbledore nods with a solemn face.
"Your parents, sent you here. Professor Dumbledore was told that you were in great danger. So, he immediately came to find you," he says with a tone so quiet, I could barely hear. My twinkling eyes seemed to stop twinkling, as I felt like I was stuck in time. I turn my head away and I looked at the fire.
"Where are my parents now?" I ask him with no emotion. I felt Snape flinch when I questioned that. He huffs.
"They are not here anymore." I do a small nod and then I get up. Snape slowly steps back and I glare at him for a split second before I walked off. I brushed by Professor Dumbledore and I shoved my hands in my pocket. I couldn't listen anymore. After he said, "they are not here anymore" I just had enough. I was fed up. Tired. Angry. I felt like I was ripped apart, but I wasn't sad. I was infuriated that my parents are dead. I clenched my fists and I held back the tears. Forcing them back behind my eye balls. I grinned my teeth until I went outside and the rain began to pour down on me. My long blonde hair began getting drenched in the rain's water. My clothes began to get soggy. I could only picture my parents agony. I could see them screaming in pain. I could see them holding my-
"Get in here, Sky!" Snape screams. I spin around and I see him standing in the shelter of the castle's large, block roofs that almost looked like gicantic wings. And Snape was under both of them. His cloak covering his body and his slightly greasy black hair shined in the dim light. His black, beady eyes were glaring at my Emerald green eyes.
"Your going to have to come out here and get me yourself!" I yell back. He rolls his eyes and he taps his foot until he decides to walk out into the rain and grip onto my wrist and drag me back to the castle. He pushes me onto the stone flooring and I nearly chuckled as he was soaking wet. Water dripped from his hooked nose and soon the water disappears with the flick of his wand. I growl under my breath and I get up and I grab out my black wand that had very small, chrome, vines that wrapped around the wand until it touched the tip. I grasp onto the stylish chrome grip and with a flick of my wand I was dry also. Snape smirks at me but then it turns into an impressed look.
"Seems like someone is doing their homework," he says without a single smile. I snarl.
"I am not stupid," I sneered and then I turn on my heels and I walk off. Snape following behind me.
"Professor Snape," I say with a low tone. He looks at me.
"What?" I figet a little bit as I was a little nervous to ask the bridge-breaking question. I soon let out a breath and then I gave him a serious look.
"My parents, they were, not really my parents...were they." Professor Snape stops in his tracks. His eyes widen as if he was holding a bigger secret than my parents dieing. He stiffens.
"No, they are not. I am not told to tell you who you biogical parents are either," he blankly says. He clears his throat and then begins to walk. I frown and then I run up to him and I grasp onto his cloak. He spins around with shock. I point my wand in his face and he stayed still. He turns his head to the side and his eyes looked at my wand. His blank expression made me angrier and angrier. I wanted to see him in pain, or a scarce look was upon his pale skin. I wanted to hear bones snap and cries of pain dance in my ears. Anger was blazing through my veins.
"Tell me," I say through my teeth. He shakes his head no and then he gently pushes me off of him. I look at him walking off with his cloak cover up his tracks. A tear fell from my cheek and I lay my back against the wall. I soon began to slowly slide down, I cover my face with my knees. Tears finally started spilling from my eyes and soon landing onto my jeans rough fabric. The truth felt like it was killing my insides. I felt like I was in the flames of the Great Hall's fireplace. I could already hear my bones snapping and breaking apart, just like the wood.
