"Tae, I need your help."He looks up from his book with a dead expression, only emptiness in his brown eyes. His boredom is pouring out of him like a dark aura that's definitely spreading to you now, your eyes dropping every time you try to read a sentence.
You've been in the university's library for three hours now, which is more studying than you've ever done during the whole semester, but time has come to seriously cram or you'll actually fail the class you've been ignoring for months now. It's mostly Taehyung's fault, because every time you tried to do something about your failing grades he texted you with the same, tempting phrase: I've bought a new game and you need to check it out. He definitely knows that's your ultimate weakness, and that you'll never deny a proposition to play a game on his new console and huge TV screen. Besides, it's Taehyung, and who could say no to his puppy eyes and irresistible pout?
He knows he owes you one now, after finishing around seven video games with him during hours you wasted not studying. That's one of the reasons you're asking him for help, even though your heart is beating wildly on your chest as you dread the question that is going to come out of your mouth.
"What is it? Please don't tell me it's something you don't understand. Nothing has stayed in my brain during these three hours." he murmurs, sighing deeply. "Please tell me you'll fail with me."
You playfully kick his leg under the table, making him yelp a little. Someone harshly hushes you two, and you look at each other as you try to contain your laughs.
"Now, for real." you whisper back, feeling yourself blush. "This is serious. I want you to help me with... you know."
Taehyung's eyebrows shot up behind his bangs, and he's looking at you with deep disbelief.
"That stupid crush?"
"It's not stupid."
"It's been almost a year, and it's now that you want to do something about it?"
"Can you two leave?" the same person whispers furiously, and you and Taehyung don't even hesitate as you start picking up your stuff. You didn't tell him, but you're going to fail with him anyways, and it's no use to continue pretending to read in the library.
"I know it's been months," you say loudly once you exit the library, finally able to speak at a normal tone. "but classes will soon be over, and I found out he'll go to Yoongi's christmas party next week, and I just thought, maybe it's finally time for me to—"
"What the hell do you want me to do?" he interrupts you with a startled expression. "I don't even know the guy! if anything, you should ask Yoongi hyung."
"But he's not my best friend, you are." you look at him with an accusatory expression, hoping to make him feel guilty. It doesn't faze him: he's still looking at you with confusion and surprise, probably because it's the first time you actually take the initiative for something concerning love issues. It's also a little surprising for you too, and you can feel your face so hot you want to cover it with your hands for the rest of the day.
"Besides, you're going to make me fail this class."
That makes him look a little bit more pleased. "So you're failing with me too?"
You snort, nodding and ignoring the way he throws a punch in the air. He shouldn't be too happy about repeating a class, but that's Taehyung for you.
"Okay, so you'll help me?"
He seems to ponder your question for a few seconds, biting his lip as you two slowly walk through the halls of your faculty. You wonder what has him thinking so much, because it's not rocket science: you need him to give you and your crush a little push, one that maybe will lead to a confession that might or might not end well.
