The drizzle hit the windshield silently as you stopped at the stop light. The music that was playing through the radio was drained out by the excitement coming out of your very bones. A smile was glued onto your face as you thought of seeing Hoseok again. It was two in the morning, but you didn't care; even though he told you to stay home and rest, because of work, you didn't want to. The thought of him wouldn't let you sleep anyway.
The light turned green and you stepped on the gas lightly. You ran a hand through your hair and licked your lips when the thought of seeing him came about again. He was gone for close to two months with schedules for touring and the skype calls, texts, or phone calls were feeling like they weren't enough.
Your hand tightened on the wheel as you got closer and closer to the airport; there was a feeling in the pit of your stomach that you couldn't quite put your finger on, because of the excitement so you pushed it to the side.
You pulled up to the airport; you took a deep breath before you got out of your car and into the drizzle. Your hands rose to pull your hood over your head and into your pocket to grab your phone. You were about to call Hoseok until you saw him leaning against the wall, staring down at the phone in his hand. He had let his friends go back to the dorm, while he waited for you. You were both lucky the members had come back unannounced and close to two in the morning otherwise you'd have to wait even longer to see him, because of fans.
His hood was on and his hair looked as if he was asleep and you giggled. Even with the black face mask on you could still tell it was him by the way he held himself.
You were thinking of scaring him, but he looked up and caught your eyes. He pulled down his mask and smiled with a crazy wave. You giggled and that feeling you were feeling in the pit of your stomach had exploded into a great sadness. Still oblivious to the reason why you felt like you were about to cry or why you felt so sad, you ran to him, while his arms opened to envelop you into a big hug.
"I've missed you princess.", his voice was raspy from his sleepiness, but you could still hear the playfulness in his voice as he squeezed you in the hug.
You wanted to say that you missed him too, but you were scared to talk; afraid that only ugly sobs would come out. There was a smile still on your face as you began to cry. You squeezed him tighter in your arms and you heard him chuckle while he began rubbing your back in little circles.
You finally knew why you were crying. You were crying, because you had missed him; it was that simple. You missed him being crazy, him trying to make you laugh, and his warmth. Skype calls, phone calls, and texts couldn't even compare to how this felt.
He rested his chin on top of your head as you held each other. After you stopped crying you looked up at him smiling and he still had on his cheeky smile. He let his lips press against your forehead and then on the tip of your nose as the pads of his thumbs wiped away the tears that were left over from you crying. Your arms wrapped around his waist again for another hug and you kissed his jaw.
You had almost forgot that it was even drizzling until he finally spoke up about it, "It's raining; let's go home before you catch a cold, mm?"
"Mhm." your voice was muffled, because your face was buried in his chest again; you didn't want to let go, you missed him to much.
His voice was playfully loud as he tried to move your arms, " Yah!"
With a giggle, you let go," Okay, okay, let's go."
His hand enveloped yours as you began walking back to your car and you smiled, because he was warm.
