One Merry Christmas pt. 1

Sasuke POV

I dimly registered Gaara saying something in return then running off with a glare on his face. Naruto said something to me and Kyuubi then turning around and started to head back home. But, I wasn't paying attention to that. My mind kept replaying the same sentence over and over.

Naruto stood up for me.

"SASUKE!!!!!"

I jumped as I heard Naruto scream my name. At first I was worried that something happened, but then as I looked around, I realized that we were still the only ones there.

Naruto looked annoyed. He sighed and said, "Pay attention. As I was SAYING, we should just go home, I don't feel like going to school today."

"Oh. Well ok then," The pounding in my chest didn't stop for a second. I started walking home when something dawned on me.

It was Christmas Eve.

Naruto POV

Suddenly Sasuke's deep, dark eyes widened.

"Um well actually, I need to go to the store for some new clothes and stuff," He stated nervously.

Wait. Why was he nervous? Time to find out.

"Oh, well me and Kyuubi will go with you then," I said to see his reaction.

"NO!!! Ahem. . . I mean, I'm fine. I can go by myself. Plus you can check out Kyuubi's wound if you just stay home. I won't be long anyway."

". . . ok then," I say as he ran off.

Sasuke POV

As I arrived at the market I noticed that most of the shops had outdone themselves with all of the shiny decorations and bright, multicolored lights.

I was walking around, just browsing the shops when I saw an old man throwing random objects at a little ball of fuzz. It was obvious that he was trying to shoo the animal out of his store. Running over, I stood directly in front of the unknown animal blocking anything the old man threw. He started muttering to himself about 'kids these days' and went back into his shop.

Turning around, I identified the animal as a small kitsune (fox). I leaned down to pet it and it rubbed itself against my outstretched hand.

I picked it up, deciding to get it for Kyuubi and Naruto. But, mostly Kyuubi. That kid needs a pet. Just as I was about to walk past a small shop, something caught my eye. In a small case with another exactly like it was the most beautiful necklace I'd ever seen. I walked into the shop, determined to buy the necklace for my beloved. The lady behind the desk had on a pink kimono that matched her hair color. She had a small name tag that read Sakura.

I walked up to her and pointed to the necklace, "How much?"

She looked me up and down and smiled a flirtatious smile, "For you, it's free."

Glaring at her in disgust, I grabbed the necklace and walked out of the shop, still holding the small fox in my left arm. The necklace would be the perfect gift for Naruto. I just hope he likes it.

Because it's Christmas Eve, I decided to do a chapter but I'm ending it here.🙂🙂
