Naruto POV
We just sat on the couch watching the burning fire for a few minutes, before Sasuke turned to face me.
"Did you open your present?" He nervously asked.
Wait. Why is he nervous? Only one way to find out.
"No I haven't. Why?" I try to ask as innocently as possible.
Sasuke opens his mouth, then closes it. He looks away with slightly red cheeks.
I opened my mouth to ask another question but stopped myself when he gently took my hand with his. He used his free hand to carefully grab the present.
Deep eyes looked into my own. I blush as he leans in a bit. A thousand questions swirl around in my mind but I can't voice a single one. I'm too trapped in his eyes to even notice that he had already opened my gift.
I look down at the gift that he had placed in my lap. My eyes widened as I saw the golden heart shaped necklace.
Suddenly my heart was pounding and I was having trouble breathing.
I heard Sasuke yelling to me, but I didn't know what he was saying.
My vision started to blur as I hyperventilated.
The last thing I saw was Sasuke's figure above me before everything went black.
