One arriving home Nik and I put away all the groceries then I kicked him out of the kitchen. I got the ingredients that I needed out, then got my phone out to play music, putting my gold beats by dre studio headphones on, I began mixing the dry rub to put onto the chicken. Softly singing along to my music, I start rubbing the dry run onto the chicken then sticking onto the pan to pan fry it. I start cutting bell peppers and broccoli and throwing it into the frying pan as well. Adding some of the leftover dry rub and half a lemon squeeze I stirred the mixture up and put a lid on it to simmer down. Flipping the chicken I start getting out White rice to start cooking it. I felt someone walk in but I didn't really care, singing along to my music and tasting the veggies then adding more seasoning, someone pulled my earphones off.
"WHAT THE BLOODY HELL.......oh hey Lijah." I say to the calmest Mikaelson.
"Hello, you have a beautiful voice Katelyn. Niklaus says you're making us all a family dinner, what are you preparing?"
"That's for me to know and for you to not." I say while turning the stove eye under the chicken off.
"Now, Lijah, with all do respect..." I flicked flour at his face
"Get out." I said while fighting a smile back. The look on his face was priceless.
"You realize you can be annoying and that this was my favorite suit?"
"I'm your youngest sibling. I'm going to be even more annoying than Kol. And I don't care, out."
"HEY" I heard Kol yell.
"NO ONE IS MORE ANNOYING THAN KOL LOVE. NOT EVEN YOU." Nic yelled.
"HEY" and head a big thump soon a bunch of racket proving the boys were probably fighting followed after.
Sitting the chicken on a plate then in the oven so it doesn't get cold, I stir the veggies then rush to my room. I clean up and get dresses in a simple black mid thigh lengthened fit'n'flare dress. I go bare foot, throw on some mascara, then pull my hair up to a tight high ponytail then placing a black bow on it.
Touching back down the stairs I stir the veggies. I mix ingredients up to make a home made cake then put it in a pan, take the chicken out, and start preheating the oven.
1. Veggies-cooked
2. Chicken- cooked
3. Rice-cooked
I get the plates out and start placing the food. Chicken then rice then veggies placed on to of rice. In total I prepared 7 plates of food plus extras because who knows, someone may want seconds. I place the plates on the dinner table a long with silverware and cups. Pitchers filled with ice water then there's also a bottle of wine. I light a couple candles then sit the extras on the table as well.
"DINNER IS READYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!" I yelled really loudly.
"You don't have to yell. You could've whispered and we would've heard darling." Kol said comin in.
"What's the fun in whispering?" I say
"Dinner looks lovely" mom
said
"Thank you. Let's dig in"

I know this was a boring chapter and I apologize. I'm also sorry for not updating as often as I'd like too. My phone keeps turning off and won't turn back on then it just turns on by itself on its own. Hopefully the next few characters are more interesting. If you have anything you'd like to happen in this story feel free to tell me, I'm open to any new ideas! :)
