I followed Cale to where his car was, feeling nervous about this whole ordain. I didn't trust Cale, and I didn't know if I could trust his father either. My hand twitched, and it took all my will-power not to take out my pocket knife for defense purposes.

When we got to the car, Cale's dad stepped out, and I couldn't help but see the similarities between them. Both had the same black shaved head of hair and brown eyes that held many secrets in them. Both of them stood at 6'4, even though Cale was slender than his father and had a more looking youth appearance.

The male, Cale's father looked as if he didn't smile as much and had a scowl that probably had been there for ages. His hair was graying, even though it wasn't that much, leading me to believe that he was in his mid to late forties.

"Hello," he said, causing me to look up into his eyes. He tried to smile at me, but it looked more like a grimace than anything else. "My name is Jackson, Jackson Greaves," he said, holding out his hand. "It's is nice to meet you..."

"Mary," I replied, forcing a smile on my face. "My name is Mary Lone." I grabbed hold of his hand and couldn't help but gasp when something had happened when I held onto his hand.

I couldn't explain what had happened, but I had gotten flashes of... something going through my head, as if he was looking at my deepest darkest memories. All I knew was that my hand had started to feel hotter than it should in this cold weather.

"Are you alright?" Cale asked when I took my hand out out his father's hand, trying to be quick about it. He had this look of worry on his face, probably because I looked just as sickly as I felt. "You look rather pale."

"Uh... yes, I'm fine," I replied, my voice shaking for whatever reason. I stuffed my hand into my pocket and grabbed my knife, feeling better when I touched the cool handle. "I think I just had a hot flash or something like that."

"Mary can show us where Bob Marley's Home Buffet is," Cale said, looking at his father. There was a look of annoyance on his face, and I was certain that he knew what his father had done to me.

I didn't say a word, but looked at their silent conversation, them only using their faces.

Cale: What did you do?

Jackson: I was seeing some things.

Cale: Doesn't matter. I don't think she is ready.

Jackson: You might think that but she might.

"Mary," Cale said, glancing at me. He broke me from my concentration, making me flinch and look up at him. Worry filled his eyes, and I didn't know if he was bi-polar or not with the way he was treating me. "Are you sure that you are fine?" He shot his father an unnerved look, causing Jackson to blink.

"Yes, I am fine," I replied, nodding my head. I was confused on what they were talking about, but something told me that I would find out sooner or later. I just hopped that it was later than sooner. "What were you talking?"

"Well, I was wondering if you can know where Bob Marley's Home Buffet is," Jackson said.

I nodded my head. "Yes, I know where it is," I replied. I bit back 'I wouldn't be here if I wasn't'.

"Good, can you tell us where it is?"

"Actually, I can do better than that. It isn't that far away from where are now, and it is on the way to where I am supposed to be going with my family." I glanced at my watch and frowned, seeing that we were running out of time to get horses that would otherwise be sold as meat.

"That's great, but where do you have to go?" Cale asked.

"Haven't you seen the trailer? We're going to the auction today." I couldn't help but smirk before pulling out my phone when I felt it vibrate. "Excuse me, I have to check this." I flipped it open to see that it was John checking up on me.

"Oh, that's fine," Cale said. He moved towards his father, leaving me to stand by myself.

Hey are you coming or what? ~John

Can I say 'or what'? ~Mary I couldn't help but smirk, because I would've said 'or what'.

Nope. ~ John

Hey, I had to ask. ~Mary

Lol. ~John

Hey, can you tell Mom that I told Cale and his father that they can follow us to Bob Marley's Home Buffet? We are almost late. ~Mary

I can do that. You better hurry or else we will leave you. ;) ~John

Haha, very funny. I am on my way back. ~Mary

"Well, we will lead you to Bob Marley's Home Buffet," I said, closing my phone. "I have to get going or else they will leave me." I turned around and started to the truck. "Later," I called, waving my hand in that goodbye fashion.

"See you, Mary," Cale yelled after me. There was a slam of car door, and I knew that both of them had gotten into the car.

I didn't say another word to them, but I couldn't help but shiver for the fact that I could feel their stares on my back. This caused the hair on the back of my neck to spike up at attention.
