Chapter 21:

*kayla's pov*

She was finally a wake and I was so relieved. I felt terrible at the fact that we got into that fight before she crashed. I put on a load of guilt for me.

After Keegan came out of her room I ran as fast as I could into her room. I closed the door. I turned around and looked at her, her face had a surprised expression on it. "Wha-" before she could finish I jumped on her bed and wrapped my arms around her in a right hug. I immediately started bawling. "I'm so sorry rowen I never wanted to get in a fight with you we were both dazed and crazy that night!" I wailed into her shoulder. I needs to tell her what happened. To lift this awful guilt off off my shoulders.

"What are you talking about Kayla?" She asked me while hugging me back rubbing my back for comfort. I forgot she couldn't remember.

"We got into a fight the night you got into the car crash..." I trailed off tearing up. "And I feel so bad about it!" I yelled.

"Kayla. Kayla!" She tried to calm me down. "It's okay I forgive you!!" She said to me.

"OH THANKS LORD!" I liked up at the sky and hugged rowen to death. After we pulled away we started dying of laughter. We have no idea why we just did. It felt good to get that weight off of my shoulders.

*rowen's pov*

•one week later•

They finally let me out of the hospital two dad ago which was Friday. I was excited to go back to school today! I was going to be able to spend time with my friends again with out a sad atmosphere around us.

Keegan had been so protective of me it's not even funny. Especially the day we left the hospital.

•flashback•

The doctor released us 4 minutes ago. We were walking down the hall when I realized something. I would have to get back into a car. The next thing I knew I was breathing really heavy and I collapsed. Keegan rushed to my side.

"Are you okay?! Are you hurt?!" He asked me quietly.

"I-I c-can't get back into the c-car." I whimpered. He gave me a sorrowful look and kissed my forehead. "Don't worry you won't have to." He helped me up and walked me outside. My aunt was getting into her car. I tensed up as we walked up to the car and Keegan squeezed my hand to comfort me. I immediately relaxed.

"I am going to walk rowen home mrs. Nancy." Keegan told my aunt when we approached my aunt's car.

She looked surprised.

"That's almost 20 miles from the house!" She told me.

"It's okay. I don't feel comfortable in a car yet.." I told he shamefully.

It took her a minute for her to respond. "Okay. Just just be careful.." She trailed off looking worried.

"Don't worry we will." Keegan reassured her and grabbed my hand to start walking.

It took us about and hour and a half to walk home that day and I enjoyed every minute of it.

Yes. And he's been calling me everyday to check up on me. He's been very sweet.

Today I decided to wear high waisted whit shorts with light brown combat boots with a coral colored shirt. On the collar of the shirt it had studs on it. Then I fishtailed my hair to the side and put on some eyeliner, mascara, and foundation on. I grabbed my bag and put my phone an sunglasses in there with my school books too.

I ran downstairs and grabbed an apple and headed out the door. Keegan was sitting in his truck in my driveway. I smiled brightly and walked up to his passenger side. I climbed in and pecked him on the cheek.

"You ready?" He asked me.

"Yup!" I said popping the "p".

"Good." He half smiled. What's wrong with him? He seemed jittery.

I put my hand on his knee and squeezed it. He looked at me. "What's the matter.?" I asked him worried.

He just shook his head and smiled. "I'm just a little nervous I guess." He told me. I was puzzled. "What are you talking about?"

I asked him.

"I was the one who was driving the car when you got hurt." He said. I could tell it hurt him to say it because he winced a little. I felt bad immediately by asking.

"Oh." Was all I could manage. The rest of the ride was silent.

When we got to the school he parked the truck and hopped out. I did the same. I walked around and and grabbed his hand in mine. We walked to the front doors am walked in. I got all sorts of stares from people who haven't seen me in two weeks. I wasn't used to all of the attention. I walked to my locker and opened it. I grabbed my books and closed it.

The next thin I knew I was being tackled into a huge hug. I looked up and saw kaylee and Kayla smiling widely at me. I laughed.

"Hey guys!!" I squealed. Although its only been two days we missed each other like crazy.

"OMG you're back! It's gonna be fun now!" Kayla squealed. Lol these girls were so much fun.

"I gotta go to the bathroom before class ill see you guys in 2nd period!" I told them and walked to the restrooms. I walked in and went to the sink putting my bag on the counter. I looked at myself in the mirror and went to the stall to go pee. I heard someone come in and go to the sink. I walked out to wash my hands and froze in my spot when I noticed who it was.

There I stood watching Chloe smirk at me evilly through the mirror.
