It was a cold morning in the town of Liova. The streets were silent and the only sound that could be heard was the usual crunch of snow under someone's feet. In this town lived a legend. Not exactly a hero or something like that, but a being kind of like a god that watched over the town. The god of Wishes.

His presence was unknown to everyone. Nobody could see him, except for those who believed. Believed in what you may ask? Only those who believed in their dreams could see him. Unfortunately, everyone in that town had a rather negative aura surrounding them.

All except for one girl.

(L/N) (Y/N).

A cheerful girl who's always being optimistic about things. She is the only one that has been able to see and talk to the god. Of course, you have always thought he's just a normal human.

"I'm heading out now! Bye mom!" You called out as you walked out of your house. Nagisa instantly perked up from the ceiling he had been laying on as he noticed you walk out of your house.

His blue eyes shone as he smiled when he saw you heading towards the forest, where the two of you would always meet. He flew towards the forest, using his powers to be able to go through the trees without crashing into one.

Once he got to their meeting spot he jumped to the ground. You noticed him and grinned widely.

"Yo Nagisa-kun!" You said cheerfully.

"Hi (Y/N)-chan. You seem very cheerful today. Why is that?" He asked as he sat down on the log, you were sitting on, next to you.

"Well I had this dream last night and it was amazing!" You said jumping up and down in your seat as you began to tell him all about your dream.

It was the usual I-woke-up-with-the-power-to-fly kind of dream that you had sometimes. Your mood always seemed to depend on the dream you had in the night.

Nagisa chuckled, making a remark every now and then and nodding as you talked. His blue eyes examined your features and a feeling he had never felt before enveloped him as he reached out and hugged you tightly.

He didn't know what came over him because next thing he knew, you had stopped talking and had whimpered. He instantly jerked back and jumped up from the log, taking a step back.

Nagisa looked at you with wide eyes and you looked back at him. For some reason, when he had hugged you, your body felt like it was on fire. As if you were getting burnt. You lowered your shirt sleeve a bit and sure enough, a small burn mark stood there.

Nagisa, shocked at what he had done took a few steps back. You looked at him with a 'Don't-Go' look but he shook his head and disappeared.

That night when you went to sleep, for the first time in your life, you had a nightmare.

You stood in front of a cliff panting. You had been running from something, but what was it that was chasing you? Turning around when you heard movement you were shocked to see a snake about to attack you. A blue snake.

"N-No! Stay away!" You yelled but it just launched at you and wrapped itself around your neck, tightening the wrapping choking you.

"I'm sorry (Y/N) but it's for the best" A voice that you couldn't quite figure out whom it was from, said and the snake bit your neck.

All you saw next was black.

You shot up from your bed breathing heavily. Looking around and placing your hands on your neck you noticed you were in your house and that it had been a dream.

You got up from bed and grabbing your coat you bolted out of the house in direction to the forest.

You ran and ran as fast as you could to your and Nagisa's meeting place.

"Nagisa!" You called out in a shaky voice. No response.

You looked around in fear when you heard movement.

"Nagisa's not here anymore" A whisper in your ear said and you screamed as you ran away.

Nagisa. Nagisa! Where are you?!

You stopped running when you found yourself at the edge of a cliff. Almost falling, you pushed your body backwards falling back in the snowy ground.

"This cliff... Its the same from my dream!" You said in horror as you scooted backwards and stood up, brushing the snow from your sweatpants.

Your body started feeling cold as you only threw a coat on when you ran out of your house so you were still in your pjs.

The sound of snow moving made you turn around and you saw a blue snake heading towards you. You tried to run but the only direction you could go to was either the cliff or in front of the snake.

You took a deep breath and when the snake jumped up to attack you ducked and ran back into the forest not looking back. You crashed into something and it held you so you wouldn't fall to the ground.

Looking up you saw Nagisa standing there, a shocked expression on his face. You smiled as your tears began falling.

"Nagisa! Where were you?!" You cried as you tried to hug him but he just took a step back. You looked at him with confusion. That's when you noticed his eyes weren't the usual calm blue. They were fiery red.

"I'm sorry (Y/N)-chan but it's for the best" He said with a sad smile.

"Wh-Wha--" You stopped talking and your eyes widened as your body froze. Nagisa bit your neck with fangs. Pain dashed through you as his venom fangs dug deeper in your skin. Finally he let you go and you fell back in the snow-covered cold ground. You opened your eyes and noticed a blue snake sitting there.

"We can't be together. I'm not either human nor a god. I'm a demon and those who get close to me will only get burned. This is for the best. Goodbye (Y/N)-chan" The snake spoke as it slithered away.

"Na....gisa....kun.... I always..... Lo.....ved....you...." You muttered and your vision turned blurry.

"I loved you too" was the last thing you heard before loosing consciousness.
