i guess around the year 2121, people got tired of going out and finding a suitable partner in which to continue populating the earth. the government realized that people were dying, but no new babies were coming in to replace those that had died. the top government officials: ralph westerfield, gianna tikolami, jennette harrelson, and rodney st. hayes, met and discussed ways to help repopulate the earth. they met with scientists for 6 years, studying the human mind and learning animal rituals that could help the humans.
after six years of hard and grueling research, they came up with a solution: to put a timer on every new baby that would count down the amount of time it took for the individual to find their suitable match. the parents were told to do everything in their power to help the couple get along, even if it meant breaking up an already-happy couple. the program was flawless; babies were being born at an alarming rate: 100,000,000 every six months. people were happy- or so it seemed. if a woman was infertile, she would be put to death. if a man was infertile, he would be put to death.
people who weren't heterosexual felt uneasy by being put in this position, as the couple was expected to be together until the female couldn't bear any more offspring. this lead to the suicides of many women and men because the punishment for running away from your mate is forced prostitution. never in all its 124 years of matchmaking had it ever place a man and a man together, or a woman and a woman together. the system had never been broken before.

welcome to the countdown everybody! my name is Hallie, but you can call me anytime. this book is one of those bit-by-bit books where every chapter is just a few sentences, but some chapters might have full paragraphs. i'm not really sure yet... this book is loosely based off of that Tumblr post that talks about a countdown until you meet your true match. i actually read it a long time ago, and after giving a LOT of thought, i decided to write a fanfic about it.please, please, please do not steal my ideas on this book as i have spent many nights planning this all out. no spinoffs please.
ALSO: PLEASE TELL ME IF SOMEONE'S ALREADY DONE THIS IDEA. I HAVE NO IDEA IF THIS HAS ALREADY BEEN DONE, SO PLEASE TELL ME AND I WILL TAKE IT DOWN BECAUSE I DON'T WANT TO MESS WITH ALL THE DRAMA OF REWRITING IT.
ALSO ALSO: I DO NOT OWN DAN AND PHIL OR ANY OTHER YOUTUBERS THAT MAY BE MENTIONED IN THIS BOOK. ANY OTHER CHARACTERS ARE MINE [that includes name, appearance, and personality]AND ANY RESEMBLANCE TO ANYONE, LIVING OR DEAD, IS PURELY COINCIDENTAL .
ok i think that is all
ciao
